We stayed in January 2026 for our honeymoon. After travelling for a day, the welcome was fantastic. We were shown to the sofas and greeted with some cold face towels and a welcome drink. The book in process was easy and our room was ready, we arrived before 12. We were given an upgrade to a sea view room. To our surprise a member of family took us to our room and showed us the facilities on the way there. We we entered our room it was lovely, but when we stepped on the balcony, wow, the view was amazing, we looked over the bay. The upgrade was just amazing and so appreciated. Our room was a little dated and could do with an upgrade, however they were upgrading other rooms whilst we were there and we would still have chosen this room for the view over an upgraded room. We were on the third floor, also with this room you have your own place on the adults beach with an umbrella and 2 sun beds ( giant bean bags) which are extremely comfortable, have to give a shout out to Kishan, moustache man, who provided the drinks service to our part of the each, he was friendly always smiling and his level of service s was exceptional. The sunsets were amazing from our balcony and the beach, beach bar was a favourite place to go at this time, chilled, relaxed and the ambience was great, on a few occasions other guests were watching videos loudly on their phones, whiz is just rude when other people are sitting nearby and can hear it! Put your phone down and enjoy the moment. We ate in speciality restaurants for 8 out 10 nights. Our favourites were Kot Nou, we dined here twice, must try the beef, duck and chicken. Level of service was exceptional and even the chef came to speak to the diners. O Beach, again ate here twice. The chicken and beef in gravy were outstanding, again level of service was fantastic. This is also where we went for a candlelight dinner on our last night, however we were on the beach and had a different menu, again the food was fantastic and see ice level was great. We loved Madam Mings, this was the first restaurant we tried and when we tried to rebook later in our stay was full. At lunchtime we used either Bistrot, O each or Taba J which were all really good, loved the pasta arrabiata and spaghetti bolognaise at O beach. We loved the beach area so much that we didn’t use the pool. We went on the glass bottom boat trip and also the pedalos and enjoyed these. The family (staff) are exceptional and make the hotel what it is.

I had a great stay at The Ravenala Attitude. The hotel is set in a beautiful tropical environment, with spacious suites, a relaxed atmosphere, and a strong sense of place. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the layout of the resort to the way Mauritian culture is subtly integrated throughout the experience. What really stands out is the people. The team is warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which makes a real difference. Service feels natural and human, not scripted. The variety of restaurants and bars is impressive, offering different ambiences and cuisines, and the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and local culture is visible and consistent. It’s also a place where you can truly slow down — whether by the beach, by the pool, or simply enjoying the surroundings. A great choice for anyone looking for comfort, authenticity, and a relaxed yet high-quality stay in Mauritius.

The Ravenala Attitude Hotel has a beautiful property and a pleasant overall atmosphere. However, the service needs improvement, particularly room service and restaurant service. The hotel has good potential, improving service efficiency and attention to guest needs would greatly enhance the overall experience.
