Just got back from here after a 14 night holiday,Absolutely Beautiful hotel very clean,Lovely location you can walk down the beach to go snorkeling and visit the town,Great value for money Staff were very welcoming, Food restaurants were nice with a good variety, The view from the hotel rooms were brilliant The gym was a very good gym a lot better then other hotels I’ve been to,As someone who is a regular gym goer I was pleasantly surprised,The team - Hiram,Barbara and Franco that done yoga and the sounbaths were absolutely brilliant highly recommended to this whilst there,The only thing that was a little disappointing was the seaweed there was quiet a bit but other then that me and my son had a lovely time

Amazing stay, amazing people, beautiful beach and superb food!

Followinh the recent passing of my husband, I felt that I neede some quiet time away to reflect and try to get some peace with my thoughts. We, as a couple had previously stayed at this resort some years ago and I knew that this resort was exactly what I needed. I emailed the resort in advance advising if my circumstances and I requested a quiet room. On arrival, i was warmly greeted and given a great welcome. I was shown to my room which was on the 1st floir in building 3 which was one of the refurbished rooms. It was lovely, comfortable and had everything I needed. After a couple of days the guest services manager (Alan) called me to check how I was and if I was happy with my room. I said everything was great but I wondered how much it would be to upgrade to the garden suite whicj had its own terrace abd sunloungers. He visited me in my room and said that they had availability and the cost for me would be a big smile. I was blown away by his freindliness and genuine warmth. He regularly checked in with me to make sure I was ok, was always smiling and went above and beyond to make sure I was being looked after. Ine evening he invited me to joim him and his wife for dinner as he knew I was apprehensive about going to the speciality restarants on my own. We chose Alux the Mexican which was fabulous, Alan had extensive knowledge if the menu and ingedients used. We all haf a fabulous evening and they were incredible hosts. I cant thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality, it was above and beyond any hotel resort I have ever experienced. The resort itself is relatively small and low key. Rooms were well equipped and spotlessly cleaned daily with some lovely towel art. Room service eas 24/7 and I used it several times. The pool area was beautiful, clean and well maintainrd. Yhe pool snack bar was also nice and was more than afequate. The buffet had a varied selection and I always found something nice to eat. There is a lovely lounge area with bar beautiful The only real negative I would say is that yhe beach haf a lot of sargasm which is not the fault of the hotel, stagf were working tirelrssly every fay to clear it. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, it was made special by the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. I cant praise the management team enough for thieir kindness and professionalism which eas the brst I have ever experienced. I was made to feel special and I would love to return. A very big thank you and well done for looking after me so well.

When planning our first trip to Mexico, we decided to explore some of the Riviera Maya's most famous destinations, including Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Akumal, and Tulum. Along the way, we discovered beautiful places, incredible culture, and many hidden gems. However, this resort was, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire journey and deserves every star possible. Arrival & First Impressions From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place. We were welcomed with warm smiles, refreshing towels, and delicious oversized margaritas that immediately put us in vacation mode. A special thank you to Alan, who welcomed us personally and took the time to give us a tour of the property. He explained the restaurants, activities, and facilities and encouraged us to try experiences that we would normally never consider, including meditation, yoga, and sound healing. Although we are not typically a holistic family, we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. The morning meditation sessions with Hiram and the sound healing experience with Franco were peaceful, relaxing, and truly memorable. We only attended once, but it became one of the unexpected highlights of our stay. We also highly recommend the painting class organized by the entertainment team—it was fun, engaging, and suitable for all ages. Nature & Local Experiences One of the things that makes this resort truly special is its connection with nature. The entire property feels like a tropical jungle, surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. Throughout our stay, we encountered impressive iguanas and many other native animals. One evening after dinner near the snack bar, we experienced something truly extraordinary: a sea turtle coming ashore to build her nest. It was one of the most incredible wildlife experiences we have ever witnessed. A friendly reminder for future guests: please do not use flashlights or camera flashes near nesting turtles, as it can be harmful to them. We also visited the Monkey Sanctuary during our vacation and absolutely loved the experience. As animal lovers, having the opportunity to see the animals up close and even take photos with the monkeys was unforgettable. Rooms & Comfort Every room at the resort faces the ocean, which made waking up every morning an absolute pleasure. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, and it was beautiful, modern, comfortable, and cozy. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find fresh flowers and a fruit basket waiting for us. The terrace quickly became one of my favorite places in the resort. I spent many peaceful hours there reading books while enjoying the ocean view and listening to the sounds of nature. Food & Beverage Experience The culinary experience exceeded our expectations. The buffet offered an impressive variety of options, and my family especially enjoyed the fresh juices and smoothies available at the juice station. It was the first time we had seen something like this in a resort buffet, and it was a fantastic addition. The omelet station was another favorite, made even better by the cheerful staff member who greeted guests with a smile every morning. In fact, one thing we noticed throughout the resort was how genuinely happy and welcoming the staff seemed. The 24-hour snack bar was another pleasant surprise. Unlike many resorts where snack bars offer only pre-prepared food, everything here is freshly prepared à la carte. The fish tacos, loaded nachos, and pizzas were all excellent. A special thank you to Daniel and Pedro for their attentive service and to Ernesto, who made sure we sampled a variety of delicious cocktails and local shots throughout our stay. At lunch, we particularly enjoyed the fresh pasta station, where guests could customize dishes with ingredients such as salmon, tuna, and fresh vegetables. Excellent Care for Dietary Restrictions One member of our family follows a gluten-free diet, and we were extremely impressed by the attention and care provided by the resort. We highly recommend visiting the Public Relations team upon arrival to obtain an allergy card. Aileen and Elvira were incredibly helpful and ensured that our dietary needs were clearly communicated throughout our stay. We would also like to thank Raquel, the restaurant manager, for providing guidance regarding gluten-free options, and Hugo at the buffet for personally showing us which dishes were suitable. Their professionalism and attention to detail allowed our family member to enjoy every meal with complete confidence. In addition, Aileen and Elvira provided us with excellent recommendations for exploring the area, including a visit to Tulum and a wonderful local restaurant called Buena Vida, located about a 20-minute walk from Akumal. It was a fantastic recommendation and another memorable part of our trip. Pools, Beach & Facilities The resort features four swimming pools, each offering a different atmosphere, and guests are welcome to enjoy all of them. We particularly appreciated that the Bali beds did not require reservations and that there was no need to leave an ID or towel card deposit for beach towels. These small details made the experience much more relaxed and convenient. We also spent time at the pool near Building 1 and met Homero, who quickly became one of our favorite team members. He remembered our names and greeted us every morning with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. The beach area was equally enjoyable. Despite the resort being busy, we never had any difficulty finding beach chairs or loungers, and there was always plenty of space for everyone. Entertainment & Evening Atmosphere The atmosphere throughout the resort was peaceful, relaxed, and never overcrowded. Every evening featured live entertainment, including talented musicians and live bands. One of our favorite moments each night was listening to Raymond, the resident pianist, while enjoying a drink before dinner. His performances created a wonderful atmosphere and added a touch of elegance to the evenings. Felipe and Clemente also deserve special recognition for their exceptional service. They remembered our favorite drinks and always greeted us warmly throughout our stay. Service That Makes the Difference What truly sets this resort apart is its people. From reception and housekeeping to restaurants, bars, entertainment, and public relations, every team member contributed to making our stay exceptional. There were many wonderful staff members whose names we unfortunately cannot remember, but every interaction was positive, and heartfelt. Another aspect that impressed us was the way the team handled a minor issue we experienced with our room door. During our stay, we had some trouble with the lock and key cards; however, the staff responded immediately by providing new keys and arranging for maintenance to repair the door. The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently, and we appreciated the professionalism and sense of urgency shown by the team. Thank you Denya and Will always taking the time to say hello and make us feel at home. These personal touches and genuine interactions are what truly make a vacation memorable. We also appreciated the convenience of complimentary 24 room-service options, and the complimentary minibar, For future visitors, it is worth noting that there is an environmental tax throughout the Riviera Maya, typically less than USD 4 per night, which supports the preservation of the region's natural beauty. Our Favorite Restaurant While all of the restaurants were excellent, our favorite was the Mexican restaurant. As seafood lovers, we were particularly impressed by the aguachile, tuna tostadas, and fish tacos. Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. Every meal felt like a special dining experience. A special thank you to Holi and Luis, who provided outstanding service during our visits. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail made each dining experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Final Thoughts This was our first time visiting Mexico, and we completely fell in love with the country, its people, and its culture. This resort provided the perfect balance of relaxation, nature, exceptional service, outstanding food, and authentic experiences. Whether it was watching a sea turtle nest under the stars, waking up to breathtaking ocean views, enjoying fresh smoothies at breakfast, or being greeted by staff members who genuinely cared about our experience, every day brought a new reason to smile. We arrived as first-time visitors to Mexico and left already planning our next trip back. We will definitely return
