Bahia Principe Explore Tulum

An amazing experience; the hotel management and staff in general were amazing, the facilities beautiful, food top notch, and the kids club fantastic..... our daughter has always refused 'kids clubs' during holidays elsewhere, that said once she ried out the kids club at Bahia Principe explore Tulum, she was completely sold, excited to attend every day..... and for parents wondering, that's 7 days a week, from 9AM to 5PM!!!! Wow. Kids have a great time, and if parents are looking for a bit of rekindling and self-time, that'll tick the boxes, haha.

Rating this as an "all things considered" review as a UK family of 4 travelling during UK school holidays. Comparing price point to European holidays this simply has to be given 4 stars as a great family resort, however, some areas of improvement compared to other resorts we have stayed at. Positives: *Room was very large (family suite), cool air con, seperate sleeping area for kids, mini bar re-stocked daily. * Hotel very clean *Although complaints from returning guests you won't go hungry at the buffet *Gym and spa as expected/decent spa prices *Good location for excursions *kids club was great (although only starts age 4) *Resort stroller friendly *Al a cartes were good quality *kids splash park/splash pad/spider pool fab for younger children *No sunbed wars Areas for improvement: *There was a no reservations process for restraunts during our stay. This did mean we had access to Akumal which was a big positive for us but meant a lot of hanging around *Main bar is being renovated which impacted evening entertainment/drinks *Beach is unusable (and smelly) but plenty of golf carts over to akumal and during our stay we had access to their restruants. If no access to food there would have been frustrating with kids, however beach there is fine. *No coffee shop (had access to Akumals but this isnt the norm) *No packed lunch option when out for day *No sports bar *Snack bar basic compared to Akumal choices. Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend, assuming aware of the above.

Cannot say enough positive about the staff both the Privilege Club and the resort as a whole . Fantastic place to vacation .

My trip to Bahía Príncipe Tulum was fun and amazing! It’s one of the best vacation venues ever. The room was nice and comfortable. They gave me a nice view and everything was great in the room, The a la carte Restaurant food was great and delicious. Everything was perfect as my reservation time was always honoured, the staff were friendly, respectful and always willing to help. My favourite was the Tequila restaurant as tried the best Mexican cuisine ever. The food at the buffet restaurant was also great. The pool area was always clean, inviting and the entertainment was also very amazing.

Great hotel but still lacking more staff in areas where it gets rather busy. 1 breakfast - need more staff 2 bars - need minimum 2 person's serving. 1 alone is not good enough long queues to get drinks.
