BlueBay Grand Esmeralda

We are having a great time. The resort is dated and our room is musty on the first floor; however, the fantastic service from the staff make up for it. We are in Building 1, Tulum, and are close to the secondary buffet for breakfast and lunch, and close to the main pools and beach. Victor, in our buffet is wonderful. Thank you for your friendly service. You are all very nice and help to make our trip more enjoyable. Thank you.

Fransisco at the Jaal-Ha buffet is amazing! His attention to details is wonderful, and he is clearly a favourite by many. The food was consistently good every morning at this buffet. Also, you must try the Coffee House if you visit here! I just wish they opened early in the morning so I could have my espresso first thing! Staff was great and the room was as we expected knowing this is a bit of a dated resort. We heard of some buildings that didn't have a working elevator or bad AC but everything in our building was great.

Leo and Romulo were amazing staff! Highly recommend the French restaurant! One of our members has a nut allergy and he went out of his way to give her a nut free dessert!

The food experience was quite pleasant but what makes it superb is the service. From Leo at the door, and Luis at the table, made the experience outstanding. The resort overall is very enjoyable.

This is day 4 of our time here. When we first got here I thought our room would be the problem as it is very dated, with minimal upkeep over the years. But wait, it gets worse. There are not enough chairs or umbrellas for the guests. However the vip section is about 2/3 of the beach and has maybe 10 people . Chairs there are empty while the rest of us sit on the ground. The food is not good at all! We can barely swallow a few bites.🤢 we paid good money for this vacation and I think it’s been a waste. The workers , servers, etc are top notch, they should be working at a real 5 star. Management doesn’t care , they have our $ but maybe this warning will move you to spend your money somewhere more enjoyable. We have 10 more days……don’t make this mistake . This resort is 2 star at best
