Cancun Bay Resort

This hotel has good and bad points. Firstly it caters more for Spanish speaking people. The entertainment at night is all in Spanish. I felt that in the loby bar English speaking people were left waiting. Also had an issue with the Italian resturant. We asked twice for wine, while the Spanish speaking were served straight away and topped up regularly, while we asked each time we wanted it. We sat for ages waiting for dessert and had to ask for that. Pool bar completely different. The bar men were good. Dylan was very good coming to get our orders. The entertainment team were very pleasant. There was a lovely waitress called Patty in the buffet. There was a man that was funny in there too, but I can't member his name. There were nice omelettes for breakfast. Lunch and evening was a bit of a mixture, but again I think they were catering for the Spainish. The rooms were clean and pleasant, although 1 bed was a bit hard. We had a nice big balcony too. There was a coffee machine and a bag of coffee, but if we had a kettle we could of made tea. Also apart from the pool there is not a lot for kids. There are burgers and hot dogs by the pool, but nothing for kids in the resturant, like chips, nuggets etc.

Excellent service in restaurant by Juan !! Friendly , polite, always ensuring we are ok . Coffee refilled and looked after .

Alicia, Ivan, Gaspar, and Dylan were amazing as were everyone! We had the best time ever! Que Viva Mexico!!!!!

Super experience at the Cancun Bay Resort. Special mention to Ivan, Miguel & Jorge in the main restaurant, they were amazing. Food was good breakfast, lunch and dinner, always with different items and specialties. Room was very clean and comfortable as well, we had a pool view. A great value.

The positives regarding this hotel in no particular order are as follows. Our room was equipped with an iron, safe, fridge, TV and very good AC. Our room was a sea and pool view with a balcony which was excellent. The pools were very nice and the beach was a couple of minutes walk straight in front of the pools. The breakfast was decent and the bed in our room was comfortable. The hotel had themed food nights but you had to be at the reception at 08:30 to book it. We got there a little later than this once and it was already sold out. The food here on all sittings was very good. The negatives were that our room 363 was very small as it was a very strange layout, a lot of the sockets didn't work, the AI drinks didn't start until 11am which is far too late. The loud music from the boat trips next door was annoying when you're trying to relax by the pool or on ;the beach, There's lots of seaweed on the beach, The Wi-Fi was very hit and miss. The night time entertainment was very average. Cancun is a very expensive resort and there's lots of better hotels than this but you'll also pay a lot more. It really depends on your budget whether or not you would stay here.
