Cancun Bay Resort

Firstly the staff at the resort were all amazing and couldn’t do enough for you! they will go out of the way to make sure you are well looked after! Would like to give a big special shoutout Juan boleo an amazing waiter in Cancun bay extremely hard working and nothing was to much effort to accommodate thank you so much! And all the staff amazing holiday!

We had a lovely time at Cancun Bay Resort. There’s lots of positives and a few negatives. The room we had was amazing, we were very lucky and had a free upgrade on arrival, the reception staff were fine and helpful. The WhatsApp system works well and they always responded fast. Our room itself was spacious, cleaned every day and the fridge was always stocked up with water and fizzy drinks. The buffet restaurant was ok, I ate well as did my partner, however they didn’t have much for our daughter, she struggled to eat. The staff were excellent one stood out in his service called Jorgi The sushi restaurant and pizza restaurant were enjoyable and the staff were very attentive especially Jhovanny, he went above and beyond for us. The pool was lively and the staff there were always busy all of them worked very hard at making sure our needs were always met. The beach is small but we found it clean and it was fine for us, we never had a problem getting a Sunbed at any time of day. The evening entertainment wasn’t the best and the seating area isn’t really big enough so most nights we didn’t stay out for it. Unfortunately on two nights they ran out of white wine before 8pm which is my partners drink of choice so than was a shame. Be aware that on the day of departure you can’t use the all inclusive facilities after 3pm, check out is at 12pm. Which means if you have a late flight you may have a problem. We booked the late check out till 4pm, they gave us an extra hour which was nice but it’s $35 an hour for this service. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be coming back.

Breakfast selection could have changed more daily. After 3 days of eating the same breakfast gets old quite fast on a 6 day trip. Houskeeping was a hit or miss if they were going to refill you fridge by the time you get back in your room or even replace towels. Other than that, hotel experience was very good. Staff/servers/recreational staff was very friendly and courteous and very lively when it comes to getting the guest to participate. Love watching the aqua gym and playing the cover all bingo. We won a shirt on the first day. Location and ambiance of the hotel made you really feel it was worth the wait. The room we got was great, a king size with 2 doubles on the other room. Room was clean and modestly decorated. What made this trip memorable was the service provided by Jhovanny. He made sure that we were taken care off from the start to finish. From when we sat down at the table to when we left. His customer service is the best. All in all I would have rated this 5 out 5 if those 2 things can be fixed. Definately an experience we will always remember.

Cancun Bay is a small, friendly and quiet hotel located in the Hotel zone of Cancun. The rooms are clean and have been updated recently but the furniture is a little dated and they are snug. However, there are no facilities in the room to make tea/coffee and only 1 chair to sit out on your balcony with. We had a terrace room so it was easy for us tip out easily and secure sun loungers which was perfect! The pool and beach front is small but ample and well maintained. The Animations team at the pool are entertaining. If you want a quieter pool there is a relaxation pool located in the centre of the hotel. There is an all you can eat buffet restaurant located at the front which caters for most people’s tastes. There is a burger bar available at lunch time by the main pool, which serves exactly that to eat in or takeaway. The pizzeria serves freshly made pizzas and paninis at lunch and converts into a bookable Italian restaurant in the evening on specific nights of the week. The pool bar is well stocked with local spirits and beer and the bar staff around the pool regularly bring drinks. I highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri. A great hotel for a nice break.

Nice little hotel with own private beach crystal clear water with white sands . Jetty to sunbath. Lots boat trips water sports. Staff are just the best at this hotel from reception to maids to bar so welcoming. Rooms Nice with coffee machine no kettle so no tea. Free soft drink in fridge and water delivered each day. Food is just ok can always find something. Also pizza restaurant made freshly and a fish restaurant near beach . 2 pools 1 quiet . Bus a dollar down to shops or walk other way 20 mins . Excellent stay would recommend.
