My experience has been quite positive so far it’s a nice place to come to right in front of the beach. The food is fantastic and the staff are great especially Mr Pool( señor piscina ) he served us at the poolside bar at the Mexican restaurant and he is a fantastic server very friendly honest genuine always looked after us, also would love to mention the staff who serve you fantastic sushi in the Japanese they are a fantastic team thank you Vicky, Moy , Alexis and Jose really good Asian food in Mexico quite surprising tasty far away from home The hotel is okay it’s quite outdated like most people would state on these reviews, but I think the food staff and the location of the place really makes up for it as the rooms need some serious TLC some of them are really rundown very old school but it has character if you’re going to stay here ask them for a room with a view pay for an upgrade as some of the rooms are not so nice , it has various different pools if you like pools I prefer the beach and the beach is really nice fantastic views too , there is a nice garden with tropical plants and there is a tennis court also on kids playground centrally located there is a bus stop outside of the hotel which takes you to Cancun or the opposite and there is a bus station not too far away if you want to go longer distance there is plenty of tourist agencies around onto the pharmacy next door so all in all this situated central. For me, the best thing about this hotel was the food the chefs were extremely hard and waiting staff take care of you I thought there was a good variety of foods every day. You must try the chilli sauce. I think the staff make the place what it is. The beach location is wonderful not too packed usually always find a chair. The pools are adequate buffet style in the main restaurant a Mexican restaurant and then a sushi place. You can get pizzas and hotdogs and burgers during the day so you’re never stuck for food. You can eat from 7am till 10:30 pm just a big lap down would be some of the rooms are quite old some of them look very dark and gloomy. Yes it is a three star hotel you get what you pay for there is more Mexican people and Canadians rather than a huge amount of Europeans, not a bad place for a person on a budget . Gracias por todo

Not a bad resort . lets start by saying there are 2 parts to this Hotel the newer one and the older one . If you were lucky enough to get in the newer one there probably was not alot to complain about. Weather was good the food was pretty good ( more variety would help but there is always something) The BIG complaint I have is the bathroom in our room. You will see pictures not acceptable but once you check in that's it no one is going to help you . I really have a problem because I paid extra for an upgrade.

I went with my two sister I thoroughly enjoyed cielito lindo and the servers were all very kind and our server Fernando was always attentive and amazing!!!! The food was also amazing here

The only way I can describe this place is like a UK Pontins. The rooms are very dated and nothing like the pictures on the website. That said, we did love the peacocks and lizards outside our balcony. The room comes with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and a fridge. The room is so noisy with fridge and a buzzing noise all night long. Drinks are good, food is generally good, and there are different themed nights. However, nothing is ever really hot – including the coffee. There are never enough cups, bowls or spoons and you constantly have to ask for everything. The omelette station is often unmanned, and when someone is there they are miserable; if you don’t tip, you’re ignored. Food is rarely refilled – there was no bread for toast one day, and the chocolate sauce ran out two days ago and was never replaced. Jesus Antonio, one of the waiters, was absolutely lovely and always checked if we needed anything. The pool bar staff were also happy and jolly. The beach is beautiful. Entertainment during the day was volleyball every day, but nobody played, so it would make sense to try different activities – my husband was very disappointed. Evening entertainment was always different and authentic, the bar shuts at 10.30pm. Getting around is easy: $1 on the bus right outside the hotel, around $10–$15 into town by taxi, and Uber works well. There’s a shop next door open 24 hours. Drinks in town are very expensive – $49 for four single vodka and diet cokes. The area itself feels run down and tacky. A young man from our hotel was walking home alone was stopped by police and taken to an ATM and made to withdraw $400, which is concerning. I did enjoy the holiday in the end, but honestly I wish I’d gone somewhere else. It's such a shame cause it has so much character.

Mr.Pool at the beach bar was awesome. Great sense of humor. Mr.Pool was always polite and spoke English very well. All the restaurants were good. Large variety of choices. Sushi bar was very good. Outdoor pizza oven was a good quick snack. Hamburgers and hotdog made for a quick bite to eat between drinks.
