HM Playa del Carmen

Great hotel! We were there six years ago and now came back, after we had to leave our original hotel because it was really bad. HM did not disappoint! Rooms very clean and comfortable! Pool area also very good with excellent cocktails. Short walk to many restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back a third time!

Just back from 2 week stay. Absolutely fantastic. Great place and location was perfect. So peaceful yet just a couple of mins to 5th Avenue (which we didn't spend much time on). Breakfast was great as was the huge comfy bed and great shower. Staff all very friendly. Carolina is often in reception area and we booked our tours with her - a great deal for Isla Mujeres and Xcaret and pick up point just across the road. Playa 72 was a peaceful beach away from the crowds if not using the pool area. El Fogon just along the road. Street Food Co just across road was delicious. Thai place 5 mins away was top (worth booking as small place) and Lost Tiki, about ten mins walk was brilliant and we ate there 3 times. Great food, cocktails and even better tunes. Highly recommend this hotel - so cheap to eat out so b and b ideal. We had a couple of cocktails during happy hour and was the only poor thing we encountered. Stuck to the XX beers and only £2.00 which was great for a 4 star place. If heading back I would deffo stay here again.

Arrived after 11 hour flight and no airport pick up, so hotel was not standing out for us, boy were we wrong, lovely hotel well positioned in relation to the resort, great staff and nice rooms, breakfast was superb, overall we enjoyed the hotel and we have no reservation in recommending it for a stay

I really liked staying here. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast has a good selection. The room was clean and tidy. I can’t wait to go back there. Thank you for making me feel welcome.

Hotel isn’t child friendly a handful of the staff are really polite and courteous sadly the remaining members of staff are always trying to find ways to fine you. Extortion is a real problem here staff will often stand and stare at you making you feel very uncomfortable while you are trying to relax and enjoy your holiday. in particular there is one member of staff with what we call a man bun placed on top of his head he is a prolific eye baller he will circle round the pool peeking through the bushes waiting for you to make a mistake not that we did make any mistakes but you are definitely made to feel on edge at this resort I will not be returning in the future and I would recommend to avoid at all cost if you are a family with small children.
