Check-in / Reception: - Smooth and efficient check-in with a welcome drink on arrival - Staff were friendly and helpful throughout - Easy to exchange pesos into smaller denominations at reception, which was really convenient for tips - Bags taken to our room on arrival Room: - Stayed in Room 737 – the view was amazing and a real highlight - Housekeeping was excellent, room cleaned to a high standard daily - Mini fridge was consistently restocked with a good variety of drinks - Shower had great pressure and always hot - Room was well soundproofed – no issues with noise - Large, very comfortable bed - Air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool Food: - Coral buffet: really good variety each day, something for everyone. Jacqueline stood out – incredibly friendly, remembered our coffee order and always made sure our drinks were topped up - Steakhouse: nice food and worth visiting, but definitely the busiest restaurant so service was slower - Shangri-La (Asian): our favourite – we visited twice. Great mix of Asian cuisines and consistently good food. One evening was slightly spoiled by a group of very drunk, disruptive guests, but staff handled it professionally and were very apologetic. - Margarita (Mexican): our least favourite, though still enjoyable. Buffet starters were quite limited when we visited, so didn’t feel like the full experience. - Kulinarium: standout meal of the trip. 4-course service at your table, more of a fine dining feel and everything was delicious - Pool bar: really convenient during the day. Tacos, nachos and burgers were all great and perfect for a quick lunch without leaving the pool area Beach & Pools: - We mainly stayed around the main pool (didn’t use the swim-up bar, although noticed it was closed twice) - Never any issue getting sunbeds, even later in the morning - Israel, who brought drinks around, was amazing – always positive, friendly and attentive - Another staff member regularly cleared empty glasses/plates, keeping everything clean and tidy - Beach was stunning – white sand and crystal-clear water - Seaweed was not an issue at all and was cleared daily - Only downside: on our last day, the pool didn’t seem as clean (suncream film/floaters), which was a shame as it had been spotless the rest of the stay Entertainment: - Plenty of entertainment for all ages. - We joined in with aqua gym and bingo which were good fun at the main pool throughout the day. - I loved the mariachi band performance on one evening. - Attended the Jungle and White parties - Jungle day party had the best atmosphere – lively, great music and busy pools - White party was still enjoyable but slightly less energetic - Face paint available in the hotel lobby beforehand was a really fun extra touch Location: - Perfect location overall - Bus stop right outside the hotel – around 10 minutes to the main strip/markets and nightlife - Close to the ferry port for trips to Isla Mujeres - Very close to the airport which made transfers quick and easy - Handy onsite supermarket and pharmacy for anything you might need Additional note: Unfortunately, our return flight was cancelled at the airport and we were moved to a different 4-star all-inclusive hotel for 2 nights. This really highlighted the difference in quality – the service, food, and overall experience at Riu Caribe were noticeably better and truly 5-star in comparison. Thanks so much😊

Great resort for party-goers who go to Cancun for this very reason. We’re seniors so not real partyers anymore. But we enjoyed observing the party from the Smoking Section over the Party Pool. The vibe was great – very energy filled. Note: the afternoon parties (Safari & Pink) were packed with more energy, mostly because they were afternoon pool parties. Neon & White parties were ok but not the same amount of energy – less people in the pool for evening party made less energy. [One comment on the DJ – music selection was great. But there were breaks in between that I think were a little too much techno/technical to show his talent --- but it kind of put “too long pauses” to the dancing] On the resort side, just the right size to walk to the restaurant, pool, beach, bars, evening entertainment. As it was end of season, there were no real line ups. Not sure what it would be like during busy season The recent renovation was great. Our room was spotless & comfortable. The partial view of the ocean is great & spent a lot of time sitting on balcony. Main reason we picked this resort was that all the rooms had partial or full ocean view. Caribbean water beautiful. The seaweed on the other hand was a deterrent to the beach view. Maybe have more staff to rake / remove the seaweed daily? Or maybe it’s time of year. Great variety in Coral Buffet. Shout out to Buffet dining staff, especially Israel (dinner) & Leticia (lunch & breakfast) & their teams. We sat in the same section for all our meals because service was great. We got our drinks promptly & dishes removed as soon as we are done. Thank you! Shout out to Berto at the Frida Lobby bar. He & his team made great cocktails (best drinks I think, even compared to the good drinks at other RIU resorts we’ve been to). So I always got my drinks there. Thank you, from Dan & Eden!

Fell in love with the resort and the people who work there!! Great beach, pools and restaurants, all of it in the heart of Cancun. Just take a quick bus ride to some nice shopping malls or go for a nice walk❤️❤️❤️

thankyou for the ideal room location that I requested close to the elevator and ice machine. As I am handicapped, it worked out well. A/C, safe, shower all worked well. Mini fridge was the coldest I have ever had. muliple outlets, comfortable bed. mini bar refills were sporatic.Cindy, the room maid was nice. Israel, Antonio,and Jesus, were excellent waiters. Restaurant manager Diego resolved a Taco problem with Caesar. Thankyou. Hotel managers Gisseca Guama and Karla were very kind and helpful. Front desk Lupita was helpful. Pool waitress Irene and Pool bar cart David are great. Activity person Diego Jimenez does a good job. Thankyou to the lifeguards, especilly Carlos figero. Thankyou to the security at the RIU parties. Lots of pool cots available till 10 A.M. No lineups for restaurants or elevators. Buffet very noisy, I wore ear plugs. If you are physically handicapped, get a lower level room. The power went out on the Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Elevators not working. I could not get back to my room 323 after breakfast. I was waiting at the elevator and an employee told me to take the stairs. I have a walker! Allan Gdanski

My friends and I stayed at this all-inclusive resort for one week. The lobby area was beautiful and check in was quick and easy. The refreshing drink was very welcome. We stayed in an ocean view junior suite with balcony, which was a great size for two people. Plenty of storage space and the beds were comfortable. Great power shower too. Minor issue when the air-conditioning wasn't working properly. We reported it twice and eventually were moved to a new room. We were very impressed by the buffet restaurant and ate here for almost all of our meals every day. Great choice of food, we were never disappointed with the buffet food. Pool areas were spotless clean, plenty of loungers and good selection of drinks both in the Sports bar and at the pool bars. Beach was great too with white sands and minimal seaweed/sargassum. We went to the RIU party night only once (the white party) it was good fun and the entertainment was great. You can also get food at the party too. There are Coco-Bongo reps at the resort and we booked a package with Carlos. He looked after us like we were family and we had a really enjoyable night at Coco Bongos. Entertainment was fabulous. We also booked a trip to Isla Mujeres with the resort rep which was well worth the price. The staff at RIU Caribe were all lovely and very helpful. Nothing was a bother to them. Tips are always very appreciated by the hardworking, professional staff. Special mention to a few that stood out: Israel at the pool drinks cart (such a friendly man and remembered our names for the whole week, he made great cocktails too) Alberto and Reubin in the Sports bar, Antonio and Alex at Breakfast buffet, Barbara at the Spa and loads of other staff, but I can't remember all their names. I have stayed at Dreams resorts in Cancun twice before, and had equally as good an experience in RIU Caribe. I would recommend this resort to others.
