Riu Palace Costa Mujeres

It’s a good hotel with lots of amenities and it gets a solid 4 in my rating…

2nd time at rui costa mujeres another great time. Food was excellent drinks great the cocktails at the cart where lovely great to try in the evening before dinner. We upgraded to elite well worth it for the elite restaurant the service was incredible from start to finish. The cabanas at the elite pool so comfy for a day in the sun. Big shout out to the lady in the buffet who kept us topped up with drinks at breakfast and lunch and for decorating our breakfast table on our last morning. . Hopefully we will be back next year.

We just returned from our 12th stay at RIU Palace Costa Mujeres, and once again it exceeded our expectations! This resort continues to be one of our absolute favorites and remains firmly in our Top 5 RIU resorts. A special thank you to Sergio, who took exceptional care of us and provided us with an outstanding room. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made our stay even more memorable. The Elite Restaurant was absolutely delicious. The steak and lobster were cooked to perfection and literally melted in our mouths. Every meal there was a treat! We also want to recognize a few people of amazing animation team—Alexis, Danny, Otto, and Jackie. They kept us entertained every day with so many fun activities. From Kahoot, bocce ball, darts to bingo and other games, we had a fantastic time and even won several prizes! Their energy, enthusiasm, and friendliness truly made our vacation so fun. Enrique the beach waiter and bartender kept us full of cold drinks and made sure we never went without. One of our favorite spots at the resort is the Square Garden. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink before dinner, with a cool, relaxing atmosphere that we look forward to every visit. The piano player is amazing. Overall, we absolutely love RIU Palace Costa Mujeres. The beautiful property, excellent food, outstanding staff, and fun-filled activities keep bringing us back year after year. We have really gotten to know several of the staff members over the years and enjoy catching up and seeing them year after year. We can’t wait for visit number 13!

Would definitely return don’t let any negative reviews put you off

Had a great time. My husband and I have been to Cancun several times and this was our first time bringing our kids. They are 13 & 15. We usually stay at RIU’s. The resort is very nice. The restaurants that we went too were also good. We went to the Italian and Steakhouse this visit. The kids really enjoyed the buffets. Shout out to Angel at the breakfast & lunch buffet. He was very attentive and always looked for our family. The beach is nice and close to the resort. We stayed at RIU Latino (also is the Costa Mujeres area) on a previous visit and the beach was quite a hike. There was some seaweed so we didn’t do much swimming. Our weather wasn’t stellar one our visit. We had 3 good days and 2 rainy days. We found things to do and also swimming when there was a light rain was fun. They also had a World Cup viewing party that was fun! Exciting to see Mexico win!! Check out the sitting bar area. They have a pianist that is very good. They also have special daily drinks which are fun! RIU Dumanar is next door so the kids went on the water slides there. One thing I think would help with this resort is to have more activities to teens. Maybe even allowing them in the swim up bar area. Sometimes we just wanted to relax in the pool but then we have smaller children in the main pools. Not a problem at all but for example the one pool has loungers and they are taken up by little kids naturally because it’s more shallow. I picked this resort because there wasn’t any playscapes and I thought it would deter the littles but then they adapt by going on the in pool loungers. Also to add a tip. This resort is about an hour away from the airport so try to be a private transport.
