Excellent resort. Wonderful food, very clean, great beach. Staff wentiber and above . Loved our stay!

I just returned from a quick 4-night stay with my wife and 19-year-old daughter. We are relatively experienced travelers with at least 15+ all-inclusive resort or cruise vacations. We enjoy both options, but I will stick to a review of this resort relative to other resorts. Our stays have been at multiple Sandals, Beaches, Royalton, and Riu's to name a few. Honestly, I had fairly modest expectations for this trip as it was really a late breaking decision to go somewhere for our daughter's spring break. Without the benefit of advanced planning, we based our choice more on economics and flight convenience rather than perfection and expectations that may be associated with more expensive resorts. But boy oh boy, what a pleasant surprise!! I can honestly say the resort exceeded my expectations in really every possible way and was every bit as good and probably better than every other brands mentioned above. I have thought a great deal about it and really can't find a truly legitimate complaint. If I had to be picky it would the wait for food to be served at the specialty Mexican restaurant. But I can assure you, the food was prepared fresh, had a great presentation, and was very tasty. Just slow. Also, being picky the gym gets a little crowded up until about 9:30. I recommend real early or after 10:00. Not a ton of weights but you can get a good vacation workout if you know your way around a gym. First the food. For the buffets the options for were plentiful, fresh, and quite outstanding to be candid. I had at least one breakfast, lunch, and a dinner at the buffet and have zero complaints. To compliment the buffets there are 5 or 6 specialty restaurants. I can attest to meals at the specialty restaurants (Asian, Mexican. and Italian) all being top notch. 5 star, probably not, but very good in every case. The nice thing about the specialty restaurants is you only order your main dish/dessert from a menu/server, but each restaurant also has a mini similar themed buffet as well for soups, salads, and appetizers, so plenty of other good options if not thrilled with your menu choice. We were never able to get in the steak house so I cannot provide any feedback. My only recommendation would be to get in line by 5:45 if you are set on having steak. No reservations so you have to make the waiting list. Wasn't worth it for us given so many great options. Desserts: excellent at the buffet, but the coffee bar has a phenomenal selection of desserts in addition to the unending coffee choices. This was also a fantastic stop in the morning for coffees and pastries. Cinamon rolls and chocolate covered donuts are a great way to get the day started. Just plan to hit the gym a few times during your stay!! I am not a huge sweets eater, but this wonderful cafe made that nearly impossible. Best sweets of any resort or cruise I have ever been on!! Poolside grille: good burgers, dogs, fries, and nachos. Pretty basic but all solid, nonetheless. No alcohol for me this trip but there seemed to be ample options of beer and spirits. For those like me, they had Heineken 0.0%, which was nice to have. Next, I have to give a shout out to the grounds crew. I am a bit of a landscaping junkie, and this place was pristine. The attention to detail was exceptional. I really couldn't find a flaw in their work and admired it every day from my center balcony. Job well done to that team!! Lastly a big, big thank you to Betsy the lobby concierge. I had forgotten a critical piece for my cpap mask. My wife would have killed me for the snoring without it. Betsy was able to work with a local pharmacy and found me a suitable mask option to purchase that first night even though I arrived after lunch. It was delivered to the resort by 8:00 pm that first evening. Literally saved my vacation. Overall I great resort. I can't imagine someone offering a bad review, but some folks always do. If you are thinking about this resort, I would not hesitate any longer. You should have a great vacation. Enjoy

We just returned from a 10 day stay here. The staff is welcoming and attentive. We were upgraded to the Elite Club which included a spacious room with a patio pool. Most of the restaurants were great with delicious meals and great service. Service was lacking in the Roma Italian restaurant and we ended up leaving ( this was only a small blip in our holiday). Guests at this hotel were able to attend the Riu parties at the neighbouring Riu. A perk of this resort is that it is north of Cancún so there is limited sargassum on the beach or in the water.

Enrique was a great waiter. He was super friendly and appreciated is being here. He provided great service and drinks.

Enrique was very nice all the time and gave us great service. We felt very appreciated to be here at the resort because of him. He always had a smile on his face.
