Riu Ventura

Excellent staff - ALL AROUND - everyone was courteous, happy to be there and genuinely cared for the propoerty. Johnny with the mustache, Fernando, & Miguel and the entire entertainment team were awesome! Food was excellent. Everything so clean and it was just overall an amazing experience. Thank you for being amazing RIU!

This was a beautiful resort and they work hard to keep it clean. The service was not what we typically experienced at a Riu, but we have only stayed at Palaces so I’m not sure if that is why or if it is because it was new. The staff are friendly and seem to want to help most of the time, but many fell short by not remembering drink orders (buffet and restaurants) or understanding English. The pool bar cart run by Jose Angel was above the average and he seems to want to go above and beyond in helping us get just the right drink for each member of our party. Juan Diego at the Mezcal bar by the pool was also very good and hustled to get everyone’s drinks. Overall our stay was very enjoyable, just a few improvements in service would help make this place a must visit. The entertainment staff was also a lot of fun and did a good job of interacting with guests. Johnny made it a lot of fun for my young adult daughters by encouraging them to get involved with the dancing and shows.

Professional Resort Review: Riu Ventura, Cancun Our recent six-day stay at Riu Ventura in Cancun provided a generally positive experience, with several notable aspects contributing to a pleasant vacation. The resort's staff consistently demonstrated exceptional service, exhibiting professionalism and attentiveness throughout our visit. The swimming pool facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable. However, an observation was made regarding the limited availability of shaded areas around the pools, which could enhance guest comfort during peak sun hours. Dining experiences presented a mixed impression. While the initial two days offered a commendable culinary variety, subsequent meals, particularly at the specialty restaurants, often mirrored the buffet's offerings in taste and preparation, albeit in a different setting. An exception to this was the steakhouse, which provided a distinct and superior dining experience, differentiating itself from the general buffet-style fare. Accommodation, specifically an ocean-view room, was impacted by ambient noise. The room's location, with the resort situated between it and the ocean, combined with a perceived lack of mature vegetation to absorb sound, resulted in significant noise transference from the evening theater performances. This auditory intrusion persisted until approximately 11:00 PM. Additionally, the uncarpeted and sparsely furnished hallways leading to the elevators amplified sounds from guests, contributing to further noise disturbances. A minor inconvenience within the room was the intermittent operation of the furnace fan; a continuous fan option would have been beneficial in masking external noises. In summary, Riu Ventura offers a strong foundation for a resort stay, highlighted by its excellent staff and well-kept pools. Opportunities for enhancement lie in diversifying the dining experiences beyond the main buffet, increasing shaded areas around the pools, and implementing sound mitigation strategies in guest accommodations and common areas to ensure a more tranquil environment.

The resort was extremely clean. All the employees were hard working, especially the bartenders as there was rarely a wait for drinks even at the swim up bar. Great views of the beach from the pool area. Red Flag warnings the whole time we were there so we stayed in the pools. Lots of entertainment options, just check the app. Sports bar never closes. Restaurants were not busy and we just walked right up and were seated. The Steak House was the only one where reservations were required and it was easy to do in the app. The buffet was great. Lots of options for food and most of it was cooked in front of you. The food quality was typical buffet but it did the trick and was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Taco bar and Hamburger bar in the pool area was clutch for grabbing a quick bite. This was a family focused hotel and fit the bill for us. They did provide free transportation to another RIU in the area if foam parties are your thing. We just stayed at the Ventura. For what its worth this was our first 'all inclusive' vacation. We had a great time and will most likely stick to RIU for future trips as we had a great time and no complaints.

Over all, we really enjoyed our stay. The resort was modern. Was large enough to not be overcrowded in areas, but at Same time not be overwhelmingly large. Rooms were very nice & large with comfortable accommodations. Don’t recommend the swim out suites for 2 reasons— the pool temp was chilly and because the design of the rooms above the first floor swim outs, if guests are on their balcony, they are looking straight down at you, so there isn’t any privacy. The resort was immaculate as far as cleanliness. The staff were all very hardworking, Accommodating and helpful to any questions or concerns. The food was mediocre, Plenty of options,, just not particularly palatable to us. Difficult to get reservations for steak house unless done well in advance. Wish we knew sooner that there are additional options of order as you go at Sports bar. Overall, great value for your money. I would Absolutely return to this or any other Riu resort
