Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun

This is our second time going to the Royalton Riviera Resort and Casino the first time we went we were in adults only and it was fantastic. This time we were in The Diamond Club family area. Which I would recommend the Diamond Club no matter which area you stay in. We booked right through the Resort and did the transportation with it along with flights. Originally we had five days down but a month prior to going we added three more days. I called the resort and made the change and that went well they helped with the transportation adjustment too which is through nexus. No complaints. We were a bit disappointed when it came to arriving at the hotel. We have had it where staff meet you make you feel like you just came home a drink cold washcloth and helping you to the check-in process. This time it was you grabbed your luggage she brought it over you waited and somebody pointed Us in the direction which ended up being incorrect. So when we checked in to the general check-in area no one offered us a drink no one pointed where the bathrooms were David checked us in and he did great. He informed us that we were early and we could go eat well when we went to go eat at the buffet it was closed and there wasn't actually anywhere to eat at. It was just kind of depressing. It wasn't the great welcome at all. Tried meeting up with our butler but he was busy. Didn't even know what building our room was in. The whole check in could have been so much better. Maybe don't come at 11 am 🤷‍♀️ We did meet up with our evening butler who was able to get our luggage, walked is through everything in our room set up all of our dinners. After that though the trip went well. Cesar and Fabian did a fantastic job. The vibe team kept it fun and entertaining there was always something to do. Some of the things were the projects bracelets, dream catcher, key chains ceramic painting all great to do. The Royalton fit activities in the main pool, yoga in the morning, best areas were foam party, MJ show, rock concert. I would say if the Resort could put the stage up a bit more that would be so helpful. Bartenders house keeping maintenance everyone was kind and on their A game. The spa is always phenomenal. Check out was a bit of a headache also but made it through. Either way I know we'll be back. Resort was clean, I do feel that the hideaway was cleaner when we stayed there. Value was good for 8 days, 7 nights, transportation and flight. Atmosphere changes it was fun no matter where you went. Noise was moderate depending on the day. Not once was it too loud I couldn't hear my family.

We had an amazing visit! The resort was so fun and the staff was great. Our butlers, Jocelyn & Rangel, helped make our stay even better! Definitely recommend!

Jaun was an excellent pool butler and Alejandro was an excellent server at the pool. Always a great experience and they took time to get to know us. Alejandro would check in with us frequently to if anything was needed, such as drinks.

Booked as a very last minute trip, and saw a lot of mixed reviews, so was nervous. Check in process was super easy! We did not upgrade to Diamond Club can not speak to if it was easier to get reservations or not, but as non Diamond club members it was difficult to score reservations but we had hep from guest services and scored two. One dinner was at Zen. The staff there were a lot of fun and made the dinner experience. Room service for breakfast was so much better than buffet options. Resort is huge from a number of rooms standpoint and was busy. Staff worked to remain attentive and all were very friendly. Seaweed is a problem right now but they did everything possible to try to keep the beaches clean for guest to still enjoy. Everyone was up selling something but all respected “no thank you” Rooms were huge and clean. Hallways were not always spotless but again resort was huge and busy. Chairs at pool could be hard to get if you got there late but infinity pool by kids area was quiet and didn’t fill up as fast and had great view of beach, and food truck below it had several options to choose from. Overall experience was good. Resort is a good choice for families with children 12 and younger.
