Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun

We had an amazing time at the Royalton Riviera Cancun. The resort was clean, beautiful, and the food was great. We booked Diamond Club which meant we got two butlers during our stay. We had Alberto & Rodrigo and they were absolutely incredible. We were travelling with my 9 month old son which can sometimes be hectic but they made sure we had everything we could possibly need when we needed it. They truly made our time there so much better. I cannot say enough great things about Alberto & Rodrigo!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Royalton Riviera Cancun, travelling as Diamond Club guests, and from start to finish the experience was exceptional. Our room was cleaned daily to an impeccable standard (thank you Rosa) with fresh towels, a fully restocked mini bar, and plenty of snacks provided each day. We had booked a “limited sea view,” which did make us laugh slightly — it required leaning quite far across the balcony and peeking over the divider to catch a glimpse! That aside, the room itself was excellent and very comfortable. The grounds throughout the resort are beautifully maintained and kept spotless, which really adds to the overall experience. A special mention must go to Juan, the Diamond Pool butler — an absolute gentleman. He was warm, attentive, and always happy to help. At the Diamond Pool bar, Rodrigo was fantastic; we were never without a drink thanks to his friendly and efficient service. Our butlers, Ivan and Kiara, were also wonderful. They arranged a different restaurant for us each evening at our preferred time of 7pm without fail. We didn’t ask for much else, but they went above and beyond by decorating our room for our anniversary, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We chose not to use the buffet, instead enjoying breakfast each morning at Agave and dining at a different restaurant every evening — all of which were great experiences. And for those wondering, mimosas were absolutely available at breakfast, despite what some previous reviews have suggested! All in all, we had a truly fantastic and relaxing holiday. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to return next year. See you again in April 2027 — and thank you for such a wonderful stay!

This was our second visit to RRC, and while a few things have changed since our last stay, it’s still a great place overall — clearly good enough for us to come back for round two (and already book round three). We initially stayed in Block 6 before moving to Block 3. Both rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained — a big thank you to Rosa for keeping things immaculate. The only downside was that Block 6 had a bit of a “mystery aroma” at times… definitely more drains than mangroves. We spent most of our days at the Diamond Club pool, where Juan, the pool butler, absolutely ran the show. Big up Juan — professional, friendly, and always one step ahead. A special thank you as well to our butlers, Ivan and Kiara, who were brilliant from start to finish — attentive, organised, and somehow always appearing exactly when needed. Restaurant bookings? Consider it done before you’ve even thought about dinner. The pool bar staff were excellent too, especially Rodrigo, who not only keeps the drinks flowing but somehow remembers everyone’s name For breakfast, we mainly went to Agave and really enjoyed the à la carte service. Lizbet was always welcoming. And if you fancy a mimosa… just ask. We tried all of the restaurants — overall, the food was very good, including the buffet. The only slight letdown for us was the Taj. Like most hotel Indian restaurants, it just doesn’t quite hit the mark… but fair play for trying. The gym is outstanding — easily the best hotel gym we’ve experienced. Fully equipped with free weights, machines, cardio, boxing bags, plus pickleball and tennis courts. You can almost convince yourself you’ll use it every day… almost. All in all, another fantastic stay. Safe to say RRC hasn’t seen the last of us — we’ll be back again next year.
