Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya

My husband and I absolutely love Secrets Akumal. This was our 14th visit and we are planing to go back soon. We love everything about this resort: exceptional service, beautiful white sand beach, high-quality dining, and well-maintained premises and pools. The special chef dinner with tequila tasting was great. We love the Preferred Club lounge with premium drinks and relaxing atmosphere. And most of all: the staff is absolutely amazing, very friendly and super helpful - making us feel home.

Our entire experience at Secrets Akumal was the best we’ve ever had at any hotel or resort. Everything exceeded our expectations - the room, the food, the grounds but especially the staff. A big thank you to Rodrigo who welcomed us, our concierge Reyna, bartenders and servers Moises and Francisco, and especially the activities team Carlos, Oscar, Sina, Andrea, Max & Alan, along with the entire staff throughout our vacation. We were treated like family. They even gifted us a onsie and booties for our baby boy who is expected in July just because! Everything from start to finish was top notch. I could not recommend this resort enough. The staff on the resort were amazing, the food was incredible, and the accommodations were 5 star.

We went on this trip a few weeks ago and my friends and I are still constantly reflecting on how wonderful of a trip it was! I had never been to an all-inclusive resort before, and now I may never want to do another type of vacation again! The food was incredible, the customer service went above and beyond, and the entire venue was just so lovely (from the rooms, to the restaurants, pools & beach)! I was so impressed by the ability of the staff to remember our names after meeting us one time, and it definitely added to the personal experience and value of our time there. The entertainment staff was incredible (shoutout to Alan, Max, Sinai, Ari, & Carlos!) and made all of the various activities we participated in so fun! I really enjoyed the availability of beach and pool volleyball every day and also enjoyed the kayak tour. We also received excellent & attentive service from the pool wait staff (thank you Ricardo & Ruben!) and from the waiters at the restaurants (Diego - Portofino, Antonio & Diego - Market Cafe). While it's definitely more of a spot intended for a romantic getaway, it was still a wonderful location for a girl's trip! It was so nice to get away from routine and truly be able to relax. We were so well cared for from start to finish of our time here! Definitely would love to go back for a longer stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for an all-inclusive resort!

This was one of the best vacations we have done. I highly recommend the Preferred Club for the extra touch of a concierge who attends to you every need. Whether you are looking for a quiet get away or you lean on the more active side this resort has something for you. We don't really drink so all-inclusive alcohol doesn't really do it for us, but the 7 restaurants, wood fired poolside pizza oven, grill and daily pool choices provided an outstanding menu. The daily activities from the staff who were so much fun made the days fly by (Pool biking class, water aerobics, pool and sand volleyball, pool basketball, tuna carving, trivia, drink making, Mexican culture). There is a ton to do - or you can just sit in a Bali bed with a coconut drink and enjoy the amazing view.
