Azul Beach Resort Montenegro by Karisma

When we arrived, it was a bank holiday and full of people local to the area, which is all fine of course. However, after two days these people disappeared and so did everything else! There were about 30 adults and 100 kids. There was no entertainment after the first 2 nights, on the third night a few of us mentioned this to the reception and they did lay on bingo for two nights and a Quiz for two nights. To be fair, the people running it didn’t seem like they had much notice. They were a lovely bunch of people and made a great effort which kind of alleviated the boredom from nothing to do here! So the brochure description of an outdoor area with family entertainment and a star studied extravaganza is completely utter rubbish !Apparently this is because it’s low season despite asking the TUI rep if this would be available when we are there May 1st for a week. So the accommodation, we booked a room with a Seaview in a premium package costing £600 extra We got a room without a Seaview until I complained and then we got the Room with a Seaview which is in the family area and there were lots and lots and lots of children there again something else the TUI rep said would not be the case. The Room itself, however was very good and to a very high standard. However, the air-conditioning seemed old and make a noise like a boiling kettle even if you turned it off, when I say air-conditioning I mean something that doesn’t seem to blow hot or cold. It didn’t seem to be switched on or active. The bathroom was lovely as was the room however I don’t think it was cleaned during the seven days of duration we were there just swapping the towels and toilet rolls even the bed just seem to be pulled up rather than made, it was changed once. The food, where do I begin! In the main restaurant area it was pretty lousy, mostly cold or overcooked, the toaster disappeared for a few days and they even ran out of butter. I’ll eat anything, but left a lot as inedible cold or so overcooked it was inedible. The à la carte restaurants were better , the steak one was very good outdoors and the people in there were fantastic the server girl was amazingly friendly and lovely. The Italian we went in there on the third night there was six of us and half the menu had already gone at opening time!, We didn’t go to the Mexican “restaurant “which is actually where the pool area is and outdoor so not really a restaurant. The worst thing for us and fellow guests was it is cut off!! If you like lounge by the pool all day reading a book and go to bed early watching telly this is for you. However, we like to go out and about and explore the nearest bar is 1 1/2 miles away and not much cop, there are no shops locally the nearest place to get any kind of shops is the old town which is 15 minutes away by Taxi and lovely. Trips, there’s one!! When we asked why, all trips go from the Budva area, get this the TUI hotel 5 mins away is French and they had 8 trips, we asked if we could tag on but that seemed too throw the rep. Also, if you’re prone to getting a bit mosquitoes, here they seem very big very aggressive and their bites becoming infectious really quickly. Basically, I could go on but I think I’ve covered enough, hotels average, all the staff are lovely. TUI information and rep service was shocking. I raised a complaint with TUI about mis information from TUI staff and in resort rep, they pointed everything back at the hotel which was wrong and unfair of them. We wouldn’t return, due to the location however we would visit Montenegro again but closer to the main airport and main towns.

This time we had a very disappointing experience at Azul Beach Ulcinj. The bathroom smelled and pressure was low. The room card also did not work, even after we tried two times, which was frustrating and inconvenient. Last day, the service at the coffee bar was very poor. The waiter seemed unwilling to serve me and behaved in a lazy, unfriendly manner. It made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Overall, this was not the level of service which we paid. Improvements are needed in both room maintenance and staff attitude

I stayed at Azul Beach from May 1 to May 3, 2026, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The room was not up to an acceptable standard. The toilet was unclean and had brown marks, which was unacceptable and made the stay uncomfortable from the start. Beyond the room issues, some staff members were very rude and unkind. They also made derogatory comments about my colleagues, which was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. A hotel stay should feel clean, welcoming, and respectful, but this experience did not. Based on my stay, I would not recommend Azul Beach unless serious improvements are made in both room cleanliness and staff professionalism.

The best preseason service. Definitely coming back in season.

We are having perfect time on Azul! Everything is perfect,room service food ambient,we are so happy and I say to everyone that still was not here to come and have a nice holiday. The best service served was from Paola and Mani, all the time they are ready to serve you without hesitation, big and special thanks to them.
