The best preseason service. Definitely coming back in season.

We are having perfect time on Azul! Everything is perfect,room service food ambient,we are so happy and I say to everyone that still was not here to come and have a nice holiday. The best service served was from Paola and Mani, all the time they are ready to serve you without hesitation, big and special thanks to them.

This place is lovely overall. A few niggles which I will explain. It is a long way from the airport over 2 hours so be prepared. There are road works going on so it took us over 3 hrs, but I’m sure this will change once the road is finished. On arrival check in was fine! The staff were friendly enough. The resort is lovely, beautiful gardens and we were in blueberry block which was lovely. Spacious 2 bed apartment. So much space, 2 big wardrobes and 2 balcony’s. Not much room in the bathroom to put any toiletries but lovely big shower. Some days the water stunk of metal and sewerage!! Not sure but they need to sure that out. Restaurants were all lovely! But the buffet restaurant was far too busy and tables never cleared quick enough and Luke warm food. Luckily we managed to eat in the other restaurants most nights which were lovely. The adult pool was wonderful and really quiet. The pool bar served lovely drinks. The beach was gorgeous we never had to search for sunbeds. There were always lots available. Now to the staff!!! Totally hit and miss!! Some of them had such attitude problems it was unbelievable that they work in a hotel serving guests. Then you had the absolute gems!! Wander Silvestre and Katrina Jankovic were 2 of the most amazing people I have met in a hotel!! They should be the bosses! We first came across them in the Italian restaurant. After experiencing some awful staff they were like a breath of fresh air! If we saw them anywhere they remembered us and we were greeted with such warmth and friendliness. So we want to give the biggest shout out to them! The beach bar staff were lovely too. There was a lovely lady Mariana! She was from Mexico. She was just amazing, running around in that heat and so efficient. I was holidaying with my mum, mother in law, auntie , best friend and husband. So a real mix of ages. Also Linda who is one of the housekeeping staff. Lovely Tania on reception. Really mad such an effort. Drinks were good but it all depends on who you got! I’m sure they were very watered down as we never got drunk at all. We loved the holiday and the hotel but wouldn’t return due to the length of the transfer, but the resort was lovely. Entertainment in the evenings was ok but never enough seats to cater for everyone. Lovely old town if you want a ride out and a few nice restaurants over the road if you want to get out. The lift to the restaurant didn’t work on 5 of the 7 days! Which was very inconvenient. People had to carry buggy’s up the stairs! Well done to the lovely staff and they certainly should train up the ones that are soo soo bad!! Get Wander to train them! He is fantastic.

Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet the expectations of a four-star property, especially considering our experience as TUI customers, where we’ve come to expect a certain standard. There were no organized activities for children, and the climbing area was closed throughout our stay. Some pools and bars were only accessible to premium guests, and as TUI customers, we were not considered premium. This significantly limited the services available to us. The food was relatively repetitive, lacking variety from day to day. The drinks were basic, cocktails poorly made, and there was only one child-friendly drink option. Soft drinks were of poor quality—flat and tasteless. The room was acceptable, but both the design and overall quality were below four-star standards. Housekeeping was inconsistent—on several days, our room was not cleaned at all. The location of the hotel was very remote, far from any shops or services. There was no store on the hotel premises, so if we wanted to get snacks or drinks for the room, we had to take a taxi to nearest store.. Overall, the experience fell short of what we expect from a four-star hotel. We’ve previously trusted TUI to deliver quality accommodations that match their star ratings, but unfortunately, this destination did not live up to that standard.

We went as a friends trip at the beginning of October. Reception staff were helpful, rooms were very clean & spacious. Lots of room around the pool & the beachfront location was great. The weather wasn't good so we were grateful for the indoor pool. There is a taxi service from the hotel into town which we used to explore. However that's where the positivity ends. We had requested multiple times for a table on different nights for the Italian a la carte restaurant (all other restaurants were closed). We were told by reception it was ''full'' or given a dinner time of 2130 which was too late for us without any explanation. The food in the main restaurant was cold every night for the duration of our 5 night stay & chefs didn't seem to be cooking anything fresh everything was just under a heated lamp. The bar staff aside from the lobby bar were very slow despite the hotel being very quiet & we felt like we were more of an inconvenience rather than a guest. There is no gym on site & the outdoor ''gym'' was very run down / broken. Overall a mixed stay, I would definitely avoid around the time of year we went as it was clear from all of the staff it was ''end of the season''.
