Iberostar Bellevue - All Inclusive

This was our first all inclusive holiday as a family of 4 with a 5 and 8 year old. We all loved it. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are gorgeous and clean (fresh when you first get in!) lovely beach to visit. The staff were all very friendly and were so kind to us and the kids. They loved kids club and wanted to go every day! Bonus! I have an intolerance to dairy, gluten and soy and most of the food was well labelled and there was plenty of choice for me. The food was amazing, so fresh and varied. Anyone who is not impressed with the food must be extremely fussy. There is everything you could want and lots freshly cooked as well. The house wine and beer, all on tap was good and the cocktails were generously poured! There was always access to snacks and soft drinks. We asked for a sea view room in block 1 and it had garden access which was very convenient with the kids being in and out of your pool. Every night there was entertainment, however this could be really loud. I cannot imagine how loud it was in the pink original block that overlooked the stage. Which leads me onto the not so positive, lots of people smoke (not the hotels fault but not nice with kids) the beach did not have sun beds which was disappointing in April in lovely weather, the entertainment was loud and went on late, not ideal for kids bedtimes, one of our pool towels went missing, I’m sure we left it in the bathroom or it blew away but we got charged €20 for it. Our room was large and great however the kids both had sofa beds and there was a lot of dust underneath which wasn’t pleasant. The bathroom fan didn’t work despite it being reported. But these are all minor tips for improvement. I can imagine in August it gets really busy but April was fab. They also made me a special allergy free birthday cake which was soo kind! Definitely worth visiting!

The staff in this hotel go out of their way to make you welcome. Rooms are comfortable and very clean , only small issue was a very poor hair dryer. The highlight is the food- a wide ranging variety of hot and cold meals giving you a great choice every day. Meat and fish are freshly cooked for you and if you are vegetarian the roasted vegetables are wonderful. A great selection of bread, rolls and croissants are always available and we very much enjoyed the range of cheese. There is always a selection of fresh fruit- melon, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi, pineapple and fresh fruit in season . Along with this gastronomic delight you have the all inclusive drinks. These are international brands which are enthusiastically poured in generous measures! There are plenty of sunbeds around the large outdoor pool and spa/ massage facilities if the weather wasn’t good.

I really enjoyed my one week stay at this lovely hotel and would recommend it to anyone. It has a great location, well-kept gardens and delicious and varied food. My room had a comfy bed, very clean bathroom and a balcony. There was filtered water on every floor, so the only time I bought a plastic bottle was at the airport (the hotel also recycles plastic bottles, uses recycled napkins, etc). The hotel also organises activities, including free exercise classes. I went to several on the days I didn't have any trips, e.g. yoga, pilates, stretch, Nordic walking in a small group in the nearby forest. Special thanks to Amalia and Nina for making these fun and for your enthusiasm and suggestions. Most of the staff are pleasant and very hard working. My only suggestions would be to include instructions for the safe in the room (I couldn't work this out and neither could another member of our group). Also, the policy regarding towels in the room was confusing as it wasn't being followed. The instructions in the room said to throw any towels you want replaced on the floor but I didn't throw any on the floor, yet they were replaced daily. This is unnecessarily wasteful in terms of the environment and should be clarified with cleaning staff so the policy is followed consistently. Many thanks Helena

My second visit as I loved this hotel/location when I came with friends last May. Returned with family of 8 adults and booked upgraded rooms in terrace/priority building 1 as these are newest rooms and located closest to the sea for great views. The sea view junior suite is definitely worth the upgrade for the huge room and amazing views. The buffet food is good and seemed like more staff this year clearing tables so no problem finding a table for 8. As it was cold in evening we used the piano bar (a decent bottle of wine was only 8 euros so worth paying for nicer wine). We hired a car to explore ( definitely worth doing a day to Kotor & Perast, Bar starigrad and Lake Skadar) the security guards were great at finding us places to park the cars at the hotel. We walked left to explore Becici (great bars at end of bay and walk until you come to most amazing tunnel which once through it has a good view point of Sveti Stefan) and right to Budva. Previous reviews said check in queues could be lengthy but I knew each building has its own reception so didn’t queue up in building 3 as knew we were in building 1 however later there were huge queues as several coaches came in as same time. All the staff here are friendly and nice to see some familiar faces from last year.

We visited as a family over the easter weekend. Upon arrival there was a 45 minute queue to check in. This, to be fair, was due to several planes all landing at the same point that had been delayed by bad weather, so there were far more guest arriving than expected. However, the staff were quite slow at the check in process (maybe new hires for the new season?) so this does need improvement. Our room was in the main block on the top floor. Upon entering, the extra bed was not made up and the light switch was hanging off the wall. We phoned down to reception and this was sorted relatively quickly, although that specific light switch did not work for the duration of our visit. The building itself is dated but perfectly fine for a week. The new block with the gym, is far better, so if you have a choice, we would strongly suggest requesting a room there. We also travelled with an elderly grandparent who was unable to get into the bath for a shower as the sides are so high, so make sure to request an accessible room for any even slight form of mobility issue. The food and restaurants were superb. The staff were quick and efficient, with a wide variety of choices. We would suggest the hotel makes up more tables for 5+ people as there were very few larger tables available. The hotel itself is compact, so please disregard any previous review saying it is spread out. My elderly mother with a walking stick had no issue getting everywhere. The pool and bar area is lovely and we never queued for more than a minute for drinks. Be careful on the sun loungers though as we saw a lot of people tip over in them as they are not balanced very well. Booking tennis was easy and free. The beach is a short stroll away, as is the tunnel through to budvar. Allow 40 minutes to walk there at a normal speed. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss, but it was early in the season so i imagine there is more in the summer. Overall, a perfectly good hotel and resort for a short getaway at a reasonable price. Could do with some improvements but we enjoyed our stay.
