We had a really nice family trip to this hotel. Main points: 1. Kids loved the kids club. Whilst the activities at some other hotels have been a bit better, they enjoyed their time there and were always keen to go back. David and Barbara were particularly good! 2. Great location. Views from the hotel and access to Budva was good. 3. Food quality was good. We felt there could be a little more variety. They had themed nights were there were a few dishes from the themed night, but most of it was the same stuff every night. 4. Soft drinks, especially the coke wasn't nice. They have loads of smoothies at breakfast but oddly no orange juice. 5. Grounds and rooms kept very clean. 6. Sun beds, like with so many hotels, I wish they could find a way to police them. Just loads of claimed beds not being used. If people just came and used beds when they needed them it would be so much better. 7. A lot of smoke. Things are clearly different from the UK but so many guests from Russian and other countries smoke. Families with small kids just sitting smoking doesn't sit very well, but different cultures. All in, we had a great time and loved Montenegro. Would recommend the country and hotel

Had a lovely stay here! The hotel is very clean and the staff are generally very friendly. The food was typical all-inclusive food — nice for the first few nights but we soon fancied a change and ventured out to the Old Town in Budva and Becici. There’s no shortage of restaurants and places to eat nearby, so you’re definitely not stuck for choice. We particularly enjoyed the fresh pancakes available in the mornings and afternoons! The cocktails were okay with the mojitos being our favourite, although they were served from a machine. Personally, we didn’t use the pool as it was very busy and we preferred spending our time at the beach. However, I can definitely see why the pool would be great for families with children. The entertainment was also more geared towards children so we went further afield. BEWARE OF THE SUNBEDS! This was probably our biggest issue. We came down at around 8:30am most mornings and still couldn’t get a sunbed. Lots of people had towels/reserved loungers but wouldn’t actually come down until lunchtime or sometimes didn’t use them at all. This was really frustrating, especially as we then had to pay €15 for sunbeds at the beach. We also had an issue with the hairdryer in our room. It started smoking and gave off a really strong burning smell — we were honestly surprised it didn’t set off the fire alarm! We reported it through the hotel app and also went to reception. Unfortunately, the response from the man at reception was quite disappointing. He didn’t even get up to speak to us, was busy on his mobile phone and seemed irritated that we had disturbed him. The hairdryer was never replaced or fixed during our stay, so we were unable to use it. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely time at the Bellevue Waves it’s not perfect but tries hard to look after its guests is very clean and set in lovely gardens my view is that the food was good lots of fresh fruit and choice it’s not fantastic but if you want fantastic food don’t go to an all inclusive I felt that they tried hard to provide a decent standard of food options In terms of the negatives The beach is not good too many sunbeds and awful sand so if you want a good beach don’t come to Budva area it’s all poor I think this area is pretty poor for beaches however the ocean is beautiful my advice would be to buy some of those awful looking beach shoes The taxis are a rip off they charged us 8 euros to Budva old town and wanted 25 to come back so we walked it’s not a bad walk in the evening The old town is good in the morning but extremely busy in the afternoon and evening we were also disappointed in the shops mostly selling rubbish very poor quality there are a lot more options around Budva if you look around Lastly the locals need to smile and put some effort in the locals we came across were very miserable not sure what this is about I was in Yugoslavia in the 90s so have some understanding of what these people have been through however feel that to attract tourists they need to put more effort in The infrastructure really needs to improve the Airport was terrible very small and hot The trips are also expensive we wanted to see lake Scadar which is lovely but it’s very busy and not worth the money Overall we did have a great time mostly down to the hotel and other guests we will look at iberostar in the future and on reflection we were not disappointed
