Iberostar Bellevue - All Inclusive

We’ve just come back from a 10 day trip to Montenegro, staying at the Iberostar Waves Bellevue. We booked the hotel through EasyJet, and it was a great price for this hotel! Check in was quick and friendly upon arrival. We are a family of 3 and our room was lovely and spacious, with a beautiful view of the gardens. Cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. The areas within the hotel were spotless, especially the restaurants. The food was tasty with lots of options! You’ll never go hunger.. there’s always something on the go, my daughter particularly loved the fresh crepes they made from the pizzeria snack bar :) The grounds and pools are beautiful, plenty of space around, it was start of the summer holidays when we went, so beware you’ve to be an early riser if you want a bed for the day during peak months. We hired a car for a couple of days, and parking was free on the hotel grounds, and we never failed to find a space either! All the staff are wonderful at this hotel, extremely friendly and helpful! The animation team are great fun!! Special shout out to Edi who was great fun with us all, but the whole team are great too! :) Thank you everyone at Iberostar Waves Bellevue for making our stay so special!

The staff here looked after us extremely well - the view when we walked into room 2704 took our breath away. A special shout-out to Elena, who welcomed us so warmly at reception. The view over the bay from the Terrace restaurant is equally stunning, and the restaurant staff were meticulous in clearing tables swiftly and efficiently. There was a lovely range and variety of different food at all three meal-times, which they managed to keep hot, or cooked fresh. We took part in the daily aquagym at 11.30, which was great fun. The evening entertainments were slightly hit-and-miss, and the area around the stage is not really big enough to accommodate everyone in high season, with trees, bushes and the odd lamppost obscuring views. Overall, a really great stay in this beautiful country.

Lovely holiday, hotel was great, good variety and quality of food. The staff were friendly. The gardens were well kept, good evening entertainment. The views from one of the restaurants were absolutely stunning. The shop on site provided a range of products. They had tennis courts and basketball facilities, which you could use if you wished to. We used the gym and the the only downside was that it was very hot inside , so potentially an upgrade to the air con system , but otherwise a great hotel

We have just come back from a 10 day stay at the Iberostar and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Montenegro! The hotel has 3 blocks so after we checked in we waited about 15 minutes to be shown from block 3 where main reception is to block 2 where our room was where we had to check in again (?). Block 3 has a restaurant, multiple different bars, hotel rooms and the entertainment stage outside. Block 2 is just hotel rooms and block 3 has a terrace restaurant, pizzeria, games room and spa/ gym facilities. Block 2 is the quietest as entertainment/ music at the stage and in the bars can go on until around 11pm so would be best for families or anyone who prefers a quieter space. Our room was lovely, had a small balcony and was clean and tidy, my only grumble would be when you book as a couple and the bed is just two singles pushed together you often find yourself falling down the gap in between! So a double bed would have been nicer. Our room was cleaned and provided with fresh towels every day, the cleaners are fabulous. Aircon did the job wasn’t freezing cold but worked well enough for us during July warm weather. There are two different pool areas surrounded by gorgeous gardens which are all beautifully maintained. There are sunbeds surrounding each of the pools and also on the grass areas in the gardens. The only let down for us on this holiday was the fact that sunbed hoggers were absolutely rife! The signs outside the pool say it opens at 7am, but if you go down at this time you are lucky to get a sunbed by the pool, people reserve sunbeds with towels there from the very early hours in the morning. I think there should be signs disallowing this or staff members going around making sure people don’t do it as it’s unfair. To rent towels it’s €20 deposit per towel and you can exchange for a clean one every day and receive your deposit back when you return your towels at the end of your stay. We visited both buffet restaurants which do both serve the same food but are equally great and the food was always excellent with a large variety of choices every day for every meal. Drinks in the restaurant you can have wine and beer from the tap which you can pour yourself and the soft drinks machine. The pizzeria in block 1 is also a great choice for lunch if you just want a light snack/pizza/pasta/ice cream. We only visited the bars which were included in the all inclusive but there are other bars you can also visit and get 50% discount as an all inclusive guest. All inclusive drinks are ok, cocktails are included but are definitely made stronger in the evening than during the day and vary in contents/ quality depending on the bar tender. The entertainment programme is absolutely excellent. Something for adults as well as the kids, the animation team were all fabulous especially Denis. During the day they have water sports on in the pool, wellness activities like yoga and face masks in the garden, darts, shuffle board everything you can imagine. The team will ask if you want to get involved but won’t push or force you like in some other hotels which was nice. On a night time at the stage they start with the kids entertainment then adults entertainment from about 9:30pm. Our favourites were the fire show and the rock show all brilliant to watch. The beach outside the hotel is not owned by Iberostar but well worth a visit. Sunbeds in the front section are €20 per day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. We found this a great option when there were no sunbeds by the pool as the beach tends to be quieter and there is also the beach bar here included in your all inclusive which is handy so you don’t have to go back into the hotel for drinks. We visited the spa on the last day of our stay and had a classic massage which was essentially a full body massage for 50 minutes at €80 each. It was a nice experience but the spa could probably do with a revamp. We were taken straight from the waiting area into the massage room so it would have been nice to be offered a robe and showed to the changing rooms rather than having to essentially strip off in the massage room. The massage itself was nice but my masseuse was wearing headphones during my whole massage which I could hear, and took away from the relaxation you’d expect during a massage. After the massage it would have been nice to be shown to the jacuzzi/ sauna/ steam room but they basically just said you’re finished now and we had to ask for towels and to be shown where the jacuzzi was. There is an extra charge of €10 to use the sauna. The mini market onsite is really handy, the owner is an absolute gent. They sell everything you could need drinks, snacks, alcohol, cigarettes, souvenirs, toiletries, inflatables for the pool etc. There are a few ATMs onsite but they are chargeable with a fee. You can walk into Budva from the hotel through the tunnel in about 20 minutes which is a lovely walk and great to visit. Lots of bars, restaurants and beach clubs well worth visiting but if you keep walking into the old town it’s around a 50 minute walk back. We jumped in a cab to get back to the hotel which was €25, but we later discovered you can book taxis on the app MonteGO which are often a better rate. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel, you know what to expect when you stay in an Iberostar and this hotel lives up to their good standards. Not by any means a 5 star but you get what you pay for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
