Iberostar Bellevue - All Inclusive

Pleasant stay at the Ibrostar Waves Bellevue. The check in was a little messy, first being directed the the main desk only to be shown to the terrace building for the actual check in. Our room was not ready but we was provided with our all inclusive wrist band which gave us full access to the hotel facilities and we left our luggage at reception for a couple of hours. Our room was on the second floor and was a spacious twin room. We had requested a double on booking so was a little disappointed but we made do. The balcony was extremely small and overlooked the garden but was completely away from the entertainment which we were extremely grateful of. However. we had booked a priority garden room. There is no aircon during the month of May and the first couple of days the weather was cooler so it didn’t matter. The last 5 days were horrendous, trying to sleep in a hot stuffy room is not pleasant. I believe we could have asked for a fan but they are noisy and just blow hot air around so we was just forced to leave the balcony door ajar each night to try and let some air in the room. They really need to rethink the aircon situation and turn on once the outside temperature start reaching 25 degrees everyday! The restaurants and bars were relevantly quiet this time of year and the staff was very efficient. In fact one evening they was so efficient they was clearing peoples tables and resetting them for breakfast whilst people was getting dessert. Only to find their drinks had been taken and had to get new ones. The food was plentiful but very repetitive and could have been hotter. Lots of fish and seafood which was nice to see. The ice cream was amazing. There is no English breakfast, so if that’s what you want, then this hotel isn’t for you. Lots of sunbeds around the grounds, although I do feel more could be put around the pool areas. Could usually find a sunbed but not necessarily in a sunny spot as people were saving sunbeds from 7:15 in the morning and not using them until later in the day! Old Budva is within a 30 minute walk through the tunnel but various restaurants and a few shops along the way. You can walk along the promenade or along the road. If you walk out of the back of the hotel towards the beach there are a few restaurants and souvenirs shops along the Beach of Becici. There are shops selling excursions and all appear to be the same price. We decide to go on one to ‘Boko Bay’ ( I believe that’s what it was called. Pick up was from the top of the road near the pizza shop. It turned out to be a 12.5 hour trip and out of that time we probably had our feet on solid ground for around 3:5 hours. The boat was overcrowded, no safety briefing and just rushed throughout the day. I would not recommend! If I really had one complaint about the hotel it would be the gym. Doesn’t open until 09:00, I think it should open at 08:00 latest so it can be used before breakfast. The gym was hot and stuffy and lots of equipment was out of use. Could not use the cycle as it was in front of the window with the sun shining through and the seat was boiling hot! The place needs blinds up to keep it cool and the aircon in full use. All in all we had a pleasant stay but would not return. Budva/ Becici is like a building site. Hotels are going up all over the place and what is pleasant now, won’t be in a couple of years. It looks like it’s heading for the Montenegro of Magaluf! Lastly, the trip to and from the airport is still taken way longer than advertised due to roadworks! Hopefully one day these will be finished making the journey more pleasant.

Situated on the seashore but this hotel has lots of pool facilities and loads of shaded areas. The staff were lovely, extremely helpful with room change away from nighttime stage noise. The food was plentiful with lots of choice. This is a very popular a holiday destination.

The hotel complex is huge. There are 3 hotel buildings with 2 restaurants and an almost all day buffet in building 1. There are enough sun-beds and one does not need to fight for them. Swimming pools are not overcrowded and water is clean and warm. I had a room in building 2 and it was spacious enough and hidden from the scorching sun. When using a shower I had to be cautious because water could suddenly change from hot to cold. There was no tea/ coffee making facilities but there are plenty of bars serving it almost around the clock. On every floor there are water “fountains” so one can fill the bottles with cold or hot water. The hotel has got its own beach and is charging 15-20 euros for 2 sun-beds and a parasol. If you are happy to walk you can find cheaper ones further down the beach. There are plenty of day and night activities which are very noisy and can be a nuisance during the night. The customers of this hotel are mainly Russians. The hotel staff had sometimes to be reminded to keep their visitors in order. I definitely must complement the restaurants for the food. It was so tasty and in a such variety that it was difficult to leave the table. The positive experience of staying in this hotel was at the end spoilt by a disaster of going through Tivat airport

This was our first time visiting Montenegro and we were very happy with the location of the hotel (Becici (make sure that you see the sea front and go for a walk along the promenade. It is stunning)). We got a hire car which I would highly recommend as they are low-cost, the roads are in really good condition but beware of the drivers as they are more aggressive than people make out. Make sure that you just go at your own pace. We would recommend that you get an automatic car and paying no attention to the aggressive locals! The car parking at the hotel was incredible. Really friendly staff on reception especially Stojan! We didn't spend loads of time in the hotel. We probably only sat by the pool 3 days out of the 10 because we wanted to explore Montenegro. We would recommend lovcen, lake skadar, pavlova Strana, virpazar, durmitor national Park, budva old town and petrovac. The main restaurant is incredible and the views are what make it! We also really liked the snack bar - incredible pizzas and the cocktails are really good. The breakfast is great. It's the best eggs that we've had in an all-inclusive as they are made fresh to order. The staff weren't always the friendliest but they were all good at their jobs. The evening entertainment starts at 9:30 p.m. which was quite late for us so we requested a quiet room which was in block 2. There are three blocks in the hotel with the noisiest block being block one. The hotel restaurant is in block 3 and the quietest block is block 2. The room had everything that you need. It didn't have any coffee facilities in the room but this was okay as you could get coffees and teas in the all-inclusive in the hotel restaurants. Our biggest issue with the hotel was the shower in the room. It would go from scolding hot to freezing cold within seconds which was very unpleasant. It is also a very very slippery shower, so be careful! The views from the hotel are amazing. Probably the best that we've seen on any of our holidays. There are two main restaurants but both serve the same food and then there is a snack bar and a hotel shop which had quite a poor selection. If you are going to this hotel, make sure that you bring your own full first aid kit, I fell over running on the first day and they did not have a first aid kit in the hotel to help patch me up. Luckily we had our own plasters but they weren't able to offer us anything else. The gym is great, really well equipped and very clean. You can ask at the reception in block one on the same floor as the gym to get early access before 9:00 a.m. and they'll let you in. Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel. We were very well looked after, but we have had better experiences in other hotels in Europe. Definitely make sure that you check out the budva Old Town especially Citadela - it's incredible!!
