First off we will start by saying we are 4 time repeaters and Absolutely love this resort. WE WILL BE BACK !!!! ( LATE REVIEW ) Weighing out all the options , prices , quality of service , location, food, drinks , atmosphere, walk-able layout the resort is great for walkers , golf , beautiful maintained grounds . Hands down this is the best option for a 30 year old plus resort. Could it be better with a refresh 100%. But with all those attributes it is by far the best option for your money. A very warm shout out to all the staff you all work so hard and deserve a BIG RAISE !!! Extra shout out to *ISABELL & PATRICIA ( Lobby bar ) Absolutely wonderful extremely hard working ladies ) Made us feel so welcome from the very first day till our last , Always had our Dos Cervezas y Dos Bloody Caesars , ready before and after dinner drinks :) *NICKI MINAJ & MARIA MARIA ( Entertainment ) Two very active hard working ladies at the pool & lobby . keeping people entertain daily. *ALEXANDER , NAYELI & JOSEPHINE ( These three at the Jacuzzi bar and pool bar were top notch service, Very attentive and quick service. Such hard workers. Cheers Check In : Check in was a breeze, we pre checked tin on the My Bahia app so it was very quick and efficient. We were wicked off to our room quickly and settled in. Rooms : 51205 Positive: Our room was spotless every day the lady who did our room was on point with cleanliness . The room was well appointed with stocked mini bar, bathroom essentials ,extra blankets , lots of pillows , very large King bed firm but comfortable ( but we like firm so it was great for us ). Negative: Ocean View definitely not worth the upgrade, more like jungle view with a sliver of the loud pool. Rooms are the most in need of updating , Dingy , broken tiles , plugs barely work, bathroom shower head barely worked , toilet ran, missing sprayer hose for the Jacuzzi. Paint peeling and cracking. Main door fit was off had to lift every time just so it would not jam. Bars: So many bars to choose from. All with exceptional staff great drinks and staff. What ever you want they have it. Just ask they will make it. Says the limit. Lobby Patio bar was our go to. Great chill area to chat, mingle and have a few before and after dinner drinks Pools : 3 pool sections, *Super quiet pool spotless clean and perfect to reed a book or light chat . *Party Pool , Very clean music daily for a great vibe of light entertainment and chill vibes. *Jacuzzi Pool , Perfect location to chill relax arms length location to Jacuzzi, Jacuzzi bar. ( I will say this Jacuzzi pool needs to be cleaned nightly as it’s busy and the sand and oils from lotion build up. This needs to be worked on for this section. we were here daily and the pool boy skimmed the pool once a day. In the morning . It needs to be done multiple times daily. Also Vacuumed nightly. ) Restaurants : All the a la carte dinners were amazing well worth booking if you have the chance try them all at least once if you can. The buffet is on point also so much to choose from and theme nights. Rodizio is Covered out doors if you can get the first sitting 6-6:30 try and sit on the water side you’ll get an amazing view of the sunset. :) Beach: This is a great spot to enjoy the quiet of the beach and sun. Tons of seating and palapas . Beach is very walk-able sand shoes or sandles for walking in areas might be a good idea. The odd thistle is in the sand. Water is good on days we are not water people so it’s a perfect beach for us . Super clean and walk able just how we like it . Very quiet , with no pedlars. NE SARGASUM /SEAWEED All and all a great get away for 30 plus traveler who want quiet with just the right amount of fun. See you soon Dwayne & Trevor :)

Thia was our 2nd time here following a great first time 2 years ago and it certainly didnt disapoint. Room was clean and kept that way for the entire duration. Spa bath and seperate shower.Mini fridge restocked daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach was clean. 1 main pool with entertainment, 1 quiet pool and a jaquzi pool. Bonus of several al la cart resturants to use every day youre there which we did on all 14 nights Perspnal favorite was the asian. For a 14 night break we did nothing other than eat, sleep, sunbath and swim, sheer paradise. Will definatley look to come back again. 1 negative thing was and its not the hotels fault but on our time there on some days people were being stung by jelly fish. ( hotel did have flags up warning they were present)

A friend and I stayed at the Bahia Principe Bougainville resort for a week. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and there’s no shortage of areas to hang out or sit and relax. This is the adult side and there is a wide range of ages from younger adults to seniors. The rooms are a great size and very clean. My room was somewhat near the activity pool, but I didn’t hear any noise. The entire place is very quiet and peaceful. We read about the beach situation going in, so we knew the risk. The water feels great and it isn’t dirty or muddy, just not clear, so you’re not able to see the jellyfish, which increases the likelihood of getting stung, which happened. Thankfully, there are two pools and a huge jacuzzi. The pools close early, at 6:00; my guess is to ensure that people are present for the evening’s entertainment in other areas of the resort. The staff is friendly, and the servers and entertainment team in particular are great. They work from morning till night serving and engaging the guests as much as possible. The entertainment team really does learn your name and gives a personal touch. There are scheduled activities throughout the day, from Zumba to poolside games to classes to karaoke. Be prepared to hear the same songs over and over, including Bahia Principe’s own song, which is very catchy. The club is a great idea. The sound system and DJ aren’t the best, but it’s open until 2:00 a.m. for party-goers of all adult ages. Overall, there is something for everyone. This is highly subjective, but we weren’t impressed by the food at the buffets. For breakfast, we ate at the Orquidea buffet on the family side, which seemed to have more options, and in the evening when not eating at an à la carte restaurant, we ate at the Jazmin buffet on the adult side, which was quieter. There is plenty of food; we just didn’t enjoy what we tried that much. Pancakes were sour; the meat, which kept getting reheated, was dry; etc., but due to the options, you’re bound to find something you like. And they will make something for you if you ask them to. Foods were often mislabeled and cross contamination is prevalent, from the cooking to the lack of tongs and spoons to serve your food, so people were using the same tongs to pick up different foods. It would be a good idea to separate the food into sections, like pork, beef, fish, sides, vegetables, etc. since not everyone is as mindful of allergies or dietary restrictions/choices. A vegetarian and vegan section would be a huge plus, as those options were lacking. We ate at Oriental Takara, Don Pablo Gournet, Il Capriccio Italian, and El Pescador restaurants, most of which were good. The staff at all the restaurants are friendly and accommodating. Our only issue with Takara was that they are heavy on the soy sauce, which is salty, but it has a great atmosphere and is generally tasty. My fried fish at El Pescador was delicious as was my duck dish at Don Pablo. We didn’t finish our meals at Il Capriccio. The snack restaurant had limited options and while I’m all for not wasting food, it seemed obvious that they just put out the food left over from the previous day(s). Even the chips were stale. Note that the only non-smoking areas are indoors. It would be nice that since there are so many pools and the resort is so big, to have one dedicated as the smoking section. People smoke all around and even inside the pools. We were assumed to be a couple and everyone treated us nicely, and we did see a few lgbtq couples there, so that’s a plus for those looking for lgbtq friendly resorts. While the app is a good idea, some of the features don’t work. It was mainly good for checking in, booking restaurants, and activities. Neither my confirmation number or booking number worked to check in on the app,so I had to email for a different number to use to check in. All in all, it was a lovely trip, thanks to the staff and entertainment and atmosphere. I would recommend this resort if you’re not picky about getting stung by jellyfish or buffet food or being around cigarette smoke. If you like a mix of vibes and plenty of food and drink, this is the place for you.

Beautiful location with friendly helpful staff. The swim up cocktail bar was a joy and the bar staff could not have been more helpful. The quality the food in the Buffet and specialty restaurants was poor so don't be expecting a fine dinning experience. The complex has adult only areas which are great for older people looking to relax, while in the other ares there is entertainment laid on for the younger generation. Pool bars/cocktail bars excellent and the staff super helpful. The evening entertainment is amateurish and a bit repetitive. The overall complex is clean, the rooms ample and tidied daily. If you want a poolside holiday its very good but because of its location, you would spend a lot on taxis. be aware of going into the sea as there are a lot of jellyfish in the waters. A number of guests where stung and left with large red sting marks on their bodies.

We arrived at the resort on the 23rd June,late in the afternoon. And of first impression, we were extremely pleased. This is because the staff at the entrance were helpful and kept us informed about getting picked up in a buggy to Bouganville. And on top of that it looked and smelt clean. In general, all the staff were very helpful and will go out the way for you. Even if you speak to them once they will remember you and ask you how you are doing etc… We had problems booking the à la carte on the app and the computer in the lobby froze and a member of the guest services got us a reservation on for most of the restaurants. We stayed mostly in the activity pool. The only issue with this pool is that even though it gets cleaned in the morning (which i saw) there ends up being a lot of bugs including wasps and bird droppings. Maybe for the future there could be a cleaner for the pool when it’s not busy. For example, at lunch time. On a more positive note, the entertainment team really know how to get everyone involved. The activities were fun to watch and the music was great. The food at the restaurants were amazing and presented wonderfully. We never waited ages for them to be served. Yet again the service from the staff was top tier. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style and there is something for everyone eggs,pastas, fish pizzas etc… I never had an issue of the food being cold from there as they were all under heated lamps or cooked fresh. We are not a beach couple, but i would not go swimming in there at all due the jelly fish but there is a flag system for those that do love going on the ocean. I would extremely recommend the beach/ white party!!!! That was one of our best nights at the resort. The decorations were gorgeous and the DJ was putting on some great music. And yet again the entertainment team doing what they do best.
