-Food, at restaurants great Buffet gross -Grounds Beautiful -Staff most are great. Special shout out to Oscar and Diego at the pool bar. Amazing people. So sweet and entertaining. Rooms - very nice Biggest drawback to this resort is beach chairs. If you don't get up at 5 AM To put out towels your out of luck for view of the ocean. I will attach a photo. It's thr one reason I wouldn't come back

Absolutely beautiful resort with a stunning beach—truly one of the highlights of our trip. The La Romana area itself is gorgeous, and we overall enjoyed our stay. That said, there were several issues that made the experience frustrating at times. The biggest challenge was communication. There is a significant language barrier, and many staff members speak very little English. This led to frequent mix-ups with food orders, difficulty getting assistance, and an overall lack of clarity throughout our stay. We were told to use WhatsApp to communicate with staff, but messages often went unanswered or required multiple follow-ups. Upon arrival, we were placed in the wrong room with no explanation. It wasn’t until the next day—after asking—that we were told, and it took three nights to finally be moved to the correct room. Room service also failed to show up one day without notice. There were also some frustrating policy issues. We weren’t informed about the beach towel exchange rules, and after turning ours in at the beach kiosk, we were told the next day we couldn’t get new ones. It took escalating to management to resolve it. We also went a full day without hot water. As for food, the buffet was disappointing, but the à la carte restaurants were excellent. Drinks were consistently great. While some staff members were very kind and helpful (shoutout to Shirell for being friendly and speaking good English), many others came across as disengaged or even rude—likely due to the communication gap. There wasn’t much of a welcoming or hospitable feel overall. We are easygoing travelers and still managed to enjoy our trip, but we wouldn’t recommend this resort to non-Spanish speakers at this time. If the communication and service issues were improved, this place would have the potential to be truly incredible.

Our delux swim out jr suite rooms were very nice, the food was above average, most of the people were awesome, why one star? They started heavy construction directly in front of our room in the pool bar in the middle of the night. No warning, no offer of room change, no compensation, The resort manager hid from everyone that wanted to speak to her. We were essentially ripped off out of $165 dollar's per day in upgraded room costs and lost a bunch of sleep over it

This hotel is perfectly adequate, but it would not be a 5* hotel. I was hoping for a quiet peaceful hotel, and it was not that, which would probably suit some people, but not me. I booked a Superior Junior Suite, but when I arrived I realised at checkin the room overlooked the 'entertainment' area, with entertainment 7 nights a week. I requested an alternative room, but none was apparently available. There did look to be other rooms around the complex that would have suited my needs more, being in a quieter area. Check before booking the type of room you like. The Mediterranean restaurant also overlooked my room. I found locating the correct restaurants difficult, as some of them do not have names on, I had to go in and say are you the Italian restaurant and it was not. A map would be useful. All of the food I had was of a good quality, however it is not a dining experience. For example I had 3 courses in the Asian restaurant, and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Again, this may suit some people, not me. The beach is not big enough for the hotel. There are signs up saying sunbeds cannot be reserved but this was not observed. The only way I could get a bed in the shade, was to get to the beach for 6.30, by 7.00 they had all gone. The beach is squeezed between the beach for the family hotel and another one. The staff at the beach bar were excellent, bright, happy and very helpful. The staff in the other restaurants were difficult. I think it is probably a language issue, as I do not speak Spanish, but the beach bar staff could probably give some training on how to treat customers. The facilities in my room were excellent, and the cleaning staff were very thorough and very smiley! Top tip, replacement beach towels come with the night time turn down service, I couldnt work it out. So this hotel may suit some people, but for me, it was not a 5* experience
