We have quite a lot to say about this hotel. Having stayed at several resorts across the Caribbean, we feel we have a good basis for comparison. We spent two weeks at this property and, unfortunately, it was probably our least favourite Caribbean hotel so far. Some of the issues we experienced were: In our room (two adults and two children aged 3 and 6), we rarely received enough bath towels for all four guests. Housekeeping frequently forgot to replace towels altogether, including hand towels and bath mats. Shower gel was not consistently replenished. We had plenty during the first few days, but once it ran out, it was not replaced. Our room had a significant mosquito problem. This only improved after we made a formal complaint during the second week of our stay. Initially, the Guest Services team helped us make reservations for the à la carte restaurants. Towards the end of our stay, they refused to do so and insisted that everything had to be managed through the app. This was particularly inconvenient as we were a group of seven people spread across three rooms. The hotel train/shuttle service, which transports guests around the resort, is poorly organised. Guests do not respect queues, often pushing ahead of families with young children, pregnant women, elderly guests, or people who have been waiting longer. Unfortunately, the drivers do nothing to manage the situation. Our bed linens were only changed after I specifically complained. At the buffet restaurants, the service was inconsistent. Some staff members seemed to expect tips before providing attentive or friendly service. On one occasion at the Larimar pool bar, I was completely ignored while waiting with my two children, while guests arriving after me were served first. To be fair, after I submitted a complaint, the mosquito issue was addressed and the room was cleaned thoroughly the following day. However, the improvements did not last, and service soon returned to its previous standard. A word of warning for future guests: when shopping outside the resort, be careful. We found that tourists are often overcharged, and there seems to be a somewhat questionable system where visitors are offered "free" transportation to specific shopping locations. Once there, prices are not fixed and the overall experience can feel uncomfortable and overly pressured. As for the positives: The beach is nice and there was relatively little sargassum during our stay, although some was present. The pools are good and well maintained. The rooms are large, spacious, renovated, and comfortable. Families with children will appreciate the excellent pools, water features, and entertainment options available for younger guests. A small note for parents: the children's wristbands fall off very easily. When one of ours was lost, the hotel tried to charge us for a replacement. The sea was pleasant, although the water was more green than the classic turquoise-blue Caribbean colour we were expecting. The resort itself is extremely large. While some guests may enjoy this, we personally prefer smaller, quieter hotels with a more relaxed atmosphere. Overall, our stay was enjoyable enough, but considering the service issues and lack of attention to detail, this is probably the hotel we liked the least among the Caribbean resorts we have visited so far. Rating: 3/5 stars.
i love the community everyone is friendly and communicative the hotels and walkways are super modern and nice.
"Our vacation started beautifully because of the outstanding service from Arlin at the front desk. She went above and beyond during our check-in, explaining all our wristband benefits clearly and making us feel like true VIP guests. Arlin is professional, friendly, and provided top-tier customer service. We highly recommend this resort!"
