I wanted to share my experience at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana as a warning for future guests. While the resort eventually refunded me for a spa charge that should never have happened in the first place, the overall experience was disappointing and stressful. During my stay, I canceled a massage appointment properly through concierge and later booked a different one. At checkout, I was suddenly told I had to pay for BOTH massages. I explained multiple times that the first one had been canceled, but the front desk agent insisted I could not leave without paying. I was told that if I didn’t pay, the employee would personally have to cover the cost and that he was “not the one on vacation.” I was under pressure trying to catch my flight and ultimately paid just so I could leave. I left the resort in tears. After multiple emails once I returned home, the hotel finally admitted the charge should not have been applied and refunded me. There were several other issues during the stay as well: Our room was only cleaned twice during the entire week. We had to repeatedly hunt down towels and coffee ourselves. Our room key stopped working and it took multiple trips to concierge and nearly an hour before someone finally fixed it. Buffet service often seemed extremely understaffed. Our scheduled luggage pickup for checkout never arrived. I understand that no resort is perfect, but basic guest service and respectful treatment should be expected, especially when dealing with billing disputes. To be fair, management did eventually respond to my emails and process the refund. However, the overall experience left me disappointed enough that I would not return. I’m sharing this simply so future guests are aware and can make informed decisions when booking and canceling services.

This hotel Has so much potential to be amazing. It currently just doesn’t cut it. We booked a family suite with sliding doors. The kids were on a rock hard sofa bed that filled the lounge area, no room to move and no bedding in the room on arrival. We asked to Change rooms and they accommodated this quickly. The room was dirty, some days we weren’t left any clean towels. They left 2 used ones for a family of 4, no bath mats or hand towels. The corridors are dirty and have beer cans and used plates outside doors that are left for hours. Our view was the back garden and it was full of wine bottles, beer cans and cigarette butts. We had no hot water for three nights. Most of the restaurants were closed with no explanation. I have never stayed in a hotel With such rude staff. They made you feel Like You were a problem. No smiles or banter like You usually get on holiday. The entertainment team were dire. No information of what was on and when. My young kids were asked to stop playing in The pool as they were in the way of an Adult game. Two nights they were unable to serve mojitos as they didn’t have any lime!! The food was ok but very repetitive and the buffet was an awful room. It smelt disgusting and was so dirty. I would Advise for you to ask to sit outside as it’s was more pleasant. We went to the Japanese restaurant and it was amazing. So entertaining and the food was to Die for. The Italian not so much. We waited an hour for our food, mine was burnt, my partners had no flavour and the waiter got cross when we had to leave suddenly as my 9 year old felt unwell. He was angry we didn’t tip. But they didn’t deserve it. The bar by the pool has the same food everyday and it’s usually cold. The guy at the pizza bar is the most miserable person I have ever met. He just launches the pizza at you. There isnt anywhere by the pool to Get a drink before 10am. The pool bar opens at 10am. We went one day for Opening as we were thirsty and the barman ignored everyone (there were a lot of people) as he needed to prep and slice his lime etc. it was 10.30 before he started serving. This should have been done prior to opening. No apology and no sense of urgency. The pool is dirty, so much dust and fluff floating on it. They barely cleaned it. The Beach is gorgeous. A lot of seaweed but they take and remove it every morning. We had an average stay. If they improved the cleanliness, the staff attitude and the entertainment program this hotel could be amazing but as it is I would 100% tell anyone to Avoid at all costs. I appreciate it’s on the cheaper side but manners and happy staff don’t cost a thing.
