Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort and Aqua Games

This was a great hotel & atmosphere for the family. Clean stocked rooms, friendly staff, good food. It’s an easy drive from the airport, and has really good beach location. Well worth the money. It’s a quiet hotel at nights as it more for family.

We had an AMAZING stay at Grand Sirenis in DR. The staff was the highlight of our stay, very attentive, smiling and constantly asking if we needed help with anything. From reception, to bar staff and cleaners, everyone was very professional, friendly and made us feel very well looked after. Our room was spotless thanks to the cleaning team and reception was efficient and welcoming. Before arriving I was a bit worried after reading the reviews but honestly, I don't understand what people are complaining about. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The food was also better than expected for an all inclusive resort. There was a great variety every day and there was always something for everyone, no matter your taste. This was the best trip we've ever had and would absolutely return. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be adding water stations around the hotel as sometimes you had to queue at the bar just to get a bottle of water. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Another tip from me, the concierge will probably book you onto a 'VIP Experience' to try to sell you the Ultimate Leisure Club. They will say it's just for an hour, but we genuinely spend 4hrs with them, the club tried to sell us some really expensive lifetimes packages (they won't tell you the price until the last minute). You could go for it just for the experience, but we could have spent our morning relaxing by the pool.

Do not take their Taina dinner. A real rip off and a joke. We were promessed a sea food buffet, it’s basically the same buffet items and worst then the regular buffet except a few shrimps that once gone that’s it. The service is terrible she came for my glass of wine once I was done eating. The show is the biggest insult! There is no fire show, they do a few jumping around like kids. The fire show is a walk through the bush with a few torches. Other tables left early too. We had to go eat afterwards, the buffet was so bad. We were a big family and paid $300 us for this joke!. To book à la carte dinner is also another joke. I have been to many ressorts in my life and this booking system is time consuming and a trap to get you on a marketing tour. If you don’t book that tour you can be sure they won’t find your time and choice of resto you want. Rooms are not the cleanest. We made a request 6 months ago to be near each other on the same floor. Their argument is always if available. Meanwhile they could not plan this with 6 months notice and separate a family when some of the kids were not on the same floor as their parents. We had to change room because the pie smell was so strong and they thought putting some chemical spray would resolve the problem instead of removing the mattress. We paid huge money thinking this is a 5 stars resort. They think people don’t know better. So read all the reviews.

Just checked out from a wonderful fortnights stay and wanted to take a moment to recognise the hotel and staff. Rooms were perfect for what we needed and maid service daily did a brilliant job. The grounds of the hotel were truly beautiful and always someone cleaning, sweeping up or maintaining things. From Yessica and Mario bringing the beers and cocktails by the quiet pool to the excellent food in the a la Carte restuarants, we are leaving very grateful for their efforts. Only complaint was the pace of service at times and we would have liked more attentative waiters so the evening wines and needs were met quicker however we just continued to make requests and things came in carribean time. 1 disappointing experience in the Italian by 1/2 staff members but we won't allow that to dampen the overall experience. Guest relations are great and Daniel in particular ensured we had a super last day which we all appreciated. Brilliant family holiday with friends, recommend this hotel for good value and facilities.

We did not know much about Grand Serenis when we booked; however, it was a pleasant surprise. Good waterpark for the kids of all ages, great beach, nice grounds, large pool. Completely separate pools spread out would have been nice, but the single large pool was broken up into sections so you could sit at a busier/active area or choose to go somewhere more quiet. While nothing we ate was truly exceptional, the food was adequate for a family of foodies. Buffets were best soon after opening as much of the food would tend to be not hot. What was really nice was that there were lots of daytime food options. Sit down buffet, but better yet was the walk up beach barbecue and the buffet, which was great for the kids to grab food whenever they wanted without having to dry off and get dressed. The rooms were a bit dated and small, but given that we spent a little time there it was fine. Entertainment options were good and had both indoor and outdoor event events. The water was great, clear and lots of fish. Maybe resorts along the beach don’t was nice to walk along in either direction. All staff that we encountered were welcoming, attentive and nice.
