Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana

We travelled first week of March 2026. We Booked a Full Day Excursion to Saona Island. The Travel Representative Jean made it very quick and easy to pay by Credit Card . Our excursion was then cancelled without notifying us, waiting a total of 2 hours in the lobby and eventually had to chase down the answers. by prodding the representative at the excursion desk. After Jean helped us fill out the refund form we were told we would be credited back in 7 business days which has come and gone Total loss $751.98 . I would suggest to anyone who visits this hotel that they put their credit card away, they are not proficient in refunding for excursions. Hopefully you will enjoy nights sleep at this resort we were awakened at 12am the night before we leave by a mobile trash compactor. I would not recommend this resort.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff!

We had booked the Hideaway. When we got there from the airport. Our suitcases were taken at check in. Only to find out that our check in was .....over there! No signs, nobody to show us, just : take the elevator down and then go into That building ( Pointed to). It was very confusing. We wandered aimlessly for a while until we stumbled across the " hideaway lounge and check in ". We also had to look for our suitcases then ! Not very customer friendly! The room was clean, beds comfy. Room service was not always on the ball. The food was good and some of the wait staff was exceptional. Agostine, buffet supervisor was awesome and so was Reas, the master mixer with the mobile bar. There was not much for entertainment and what was there, was not really advertised well. What was incredible and the best I have ever seen, was the beach ! What I think should not be, is, that people reserve chaise lounges early in the morning, even if they only use them for an hour. Some chairs are only used by a towel all day !

What an outstanding, clean and friendly resort. So many good things to say about this place. Ronald checked on us every day to make sure we were having a good time. Clayvi at the Buffet everyday making sure we had everything we wanted. Juan and Martha at the adults only pool bar were awesome and made sure we truly had bottomless drinks. Alex in Jade was so good we went back to see him twice, Als Johanna with the entertainment was sweet and kept the vibes going all week. Outstanding all around. (Other than Scores the sports bar everything and everyone in that place was “no bueno” and we tried twice. Walked out both times)

Terrible experience. Started in a small crowded check-in room - total chaos. Venue of spring breakers, baseball hats and frat boys. A nightmare. Restaurants and food limited; fits the venue. Service is deplorable. Total rip-off. The place is nice and the room decent but all the above ruins it. Avoid by all means… Run.
