Awesome resort. Been to hundreds of all inclusive and this is the best food ever had. Bartenders could use a personality lesson. Kinda rude.

If you’re considering this resort because of the “5-star” label and near-perfect reviews—don’t. This is easily one of the most misleading places I’ve stayed at. I’ve been to actual 5-star resorts, and this is nowhere close. I genuinely don’t understand how it holds a 4.9 rating. The photos and reviews paint a completely different picture than reality. The biggest issue by far is dinner. If you’re traveling with more than a couple people, good luck. The reservation system is a mess—the app barely works, shows no availability, or glitches out completely. Trying to book in person isn’t much better. Every single night turns into a scramble just to figure out where you’re going to eat. It feels stressful and disorganized, which is the last thing you want on vacation. Bar service is equally frustrating. You’ll stand there waiting while staff avoid eye contact, and when someone finally helps you, it feels like you’re inconveniencing them. Drinks take forever and are often made incorrectly. Food overall is very inconsistent. The restaurants are actually solid and probably the only highlight, but everything else falls off fast. The buffets feel low quality and not fresh at all. Room service takes forever and tastes like pre-made, budget hotel food. The staff attitude really drags the experience down. There’s no sense of hospitality—no urgency, no friendliness, no effort. Even when you’re tipping, it doesn’t change anything. On top of that, communication is difficult—very few staff members speak basic English, which makes simple requests or questions way harder than they should be at an international resort. At the same time, they’ll try to charge extra wherever they can. It’s strange—there’s no effort put into service, but they’re quick to nickel-and-dime you. We couldn’t even get help with something simple like setting up balloons for a birthday—just blank stares and no interest. Cleanliness is another big issue. Dirty cups sit around the pool for hours, trash piles up, and the bar areas feel neglected. Lounge chairs are worn out and uncomfortable, and overall it just doesn’t feel well maintained. The towel system is frustrating—one towel per person with cards, and somehow they still run out. You end up waiting around for something that should be basic. The layout makes everything harder than it needs to be. The resort is huge, and you’ll find yourself walking 10–15 minutes just to grab something simple like a coffee. Entertainment is mediocre and repetitive. It’s not terrible, but it’s far from impressive. The shows feel recycled, the performances are inconsistent, and it quickly starts to feel like you’re watching the same thing every night. The nightclub is a whole separate issue. The DJ clearly plays for himself, not the crowd. When I requested a song, I was brushed off with “this is Dominican Republic,” while the dance floor emptied every time the music switched. It completely killed the vibe. Even small things are poorly handled—like having one person running the ice cream stand for the entire resort, only for it to constantly run out after you’ve waited. On top of all that, the overall atmosphere doesn’t match what you’d expect from a luxury resort. It feels disorganized, chaotic, and honestly kind of sloppy. By the end of the trip, everything just felt like it required extra effort. We made the best of it, but nothing about the experience felt smooth, relaxing, or high-end. Bottom line: this place might look like a 5-star resort online, but in reality, it’s nowhere near that level. Save your money and go somewhere else.
