Riu Bambu

I loved it! I totaly recommand. I will be back for sure or at least try the other Riu hotels. The beach was beautiful, the food was excellent.

Here we are at Rui Bambu, Punta Cana. As you can see it’s not the holiday you might expect. TUI recommend this resort for couples and families alike, we’ve had a poor experience regarding feral behaviour from groups. Food okay, service okay, staff okay although mostly disinterested, but noise from groups both on the complex and in accommodation blocks out of control. We had to navigate vomit outside our room door. Will never come back to this resort… I definitely do not recommend.

Great resort. Entertainment was almost non-existant. Food was ok. Pools were great - lots of space in and around the pools.

Overall the hotel and beech was very nice, rooms were nice and clean, and a good variety of food and drink choices available throughout the day. Drinks were basic and local. Overall we thought the service was basic, and at times some of the staff we’re disinterested and rude. Many of the food hall couldn’t speak English and made no effort to try and find out, so ordering drinks and food was difficult resulting in getting something completely different to what you had ordered. Many of the staff were only interested in American dollar tip, and only seemed to find interest once you tipped them. Our airport transfer didn’t turn up, and reception staff were great helping us getting to the airport which we were extremely thankful for.

The food was good but not always great and our shower leaked badly. Overall it was a good time. We really enjoyed the Riu parties.
