Riu Bambu

Overall, a very nice resort. Rooms are a little dated. We were at Villa 70, which is very far from the restaurants and pools. Service and food was good as well. The check-in process was rushed, and I felt I was not given any feedback of where our rooms would be. The guy said he was giving us an updated room, but in fact, it was so far away very disappointed with that.

We arrived at the hotel at 6:00p.m, check in was fast. Our room was in a great location however the air conditioner was very noisy, reported it to front desk and they said they will look at it. Couldn't use A/C during the night but there was a fan, unfortunately it only had one speed, so next day reported it and again nothing the third day after complaining we cannot sleep they changed our room. I have been to the Rui Palace Punta Cana in 2025 & 2023 which is next door, tried to get it this year but was sold out. The a la carte restaurants are all like buffets now, the only one we enjoyed was the steak restaurant good quality steaks. The mexican was the worst food, Japanese was mediocre. Buffet was fine you can always find something, but the grilled chicken was always very dry, over cooked. The bar tenders at the hotel were pretty good at making cocktails, the best was the sports bar, I guess because it wasn't that busy. Pools very easy to find loungers, there were quieter pools and bar pool lots of music, which I suggest stay away after 3:00 p.m it starts to smell like a sewer, ppl drinking and peeing in the pool even through the bathrooms were close by. The beach is amazing and kept very clean of seaweed, again not so hard to find loungers. I have been to Punta Cana 30 times and it is the beach that keeps us going back. Last the entertainment was half decent in the evening and very busy, the Diva show and Rock & Roll was really good. Now the Rui Parties are a great addition, all Rui location adults are invited they have 2 in the evening and 2 in the afternoon during the week and they have a theme, Pink Party on Friday afternoon 3-7 Neon Party Saturday 7-11, Safari party Tuesday 3-7 and White party Wednesday 7-11. Over all great vacation but will not go back to Rui Bambu, go to Palace Punta Cana higher quality.

We stayed at the Riu Bambu hotel in Punta Cana in April. Overall, our vacation was pretty good. Let’s start with the good: the hotel has got very friendly and welcoming staff who are always ready to help you out. The hotel and grounds are spotless clean and well maintained, very nice and modern rooms. No issues with warm water in the showers. Mini fridge was filled daily and room was made up almost every day. The beach is absolutely dreamy, white sand, warm turquoise waters, no sea weeds. Entertainment was incredible! The animation team is doing their best to keep you entertained and have fun! Dancing every night. Special mention about the Rock station show and Divas show, must see! To some minus points..not enough bell boys and the resort is huge! Food overall was good but was getting repetitive. I’d like to say special thanks to Rodriguez and Juan at the front desk for their warm welcome and hospitality, Francisco from the buffet that was the sweetest waiter, Jesus the tour guide - very knowledgeable and helpful and to all the sweet boys from the animation team who kept me dancing! We will back for sure!

My daughter brought me here to celebrate my 60th and this resort did not disappoint! We had a blast, there was 7 of us and we had 3 rooms, the front desk staff went out of their way to get all the rooms together . The activities were very easy for us to. Access. They arranged for us to go shopping ,and helped us arrange our transportation back to the airport. The rooms , the pool, the exterior were all very clean. All the staff , the bartenders very friendly made us feel so welcomed. The Beach is beautiful ,I walked it early every morning, the water is breathtaking. I have stayed at several other RIU RESORTS in other Countries , and this one did not disappoint! Our service was excellent. The buffet staff got to know who we were after the first day and was always very friendly and knew what we wanted at breakfast and where we wanted to sit . The Palm Beach restaurant was our favorite the food was cooked to perfection.This staff is exceptional give them a RAISE!!!! We went to the foam party and it was sooooo much fun and the food was very good. We had Women with a range of ages from 32 to 62 you know how difficult we could be,but we all enjoyed every second of our stay and had no complaints! Thank you RIU Bambu for making my 60 so memorable

Hotel was clean, people were fantastic, food was really good. I would only have one regret, To Not Book any excursions from anyone on the beach, they are complete frauds, promise everything and you get completely ripped off and lied too. They are on the beach pestering you every 5 minutes, very annoying, all day long. Just a heads up for people who are looking outside the resort, go with your Rep. We lost 300 Canadian dollars, and so did about 200 other people on the same excursion. Scott Young
