Riu Bambu

Overall the hotel and beech was very nice, rooms were nice and clean, and a good variety of food and drink choices available throughout the day. Drinks were basic and local. Overall we thought the service was basic, and at times some of the staff we’re disinterested and rude. Many of the food hall couldn’t speak English and made no effort to try and find out, so ordering drinks and food was difficult resulting in getting something completely different to what you had ordered. Many of the staff were only interested in American dollar tip, and only seemed to find interest once you tipped them. Our airport transfer didn’t turn up, and reception staff were great helping us getting to the airport which we were extremely thankful for.

The food was good but not always great and our shower leaked badly. Overall it was a good time. We really enjoyed the Riu parties.

After reading mixed reviews I was a bit unsure about this resort! Upon arrival we loved the grounds, well looked after, we had a smooth check inn, was given info about everything. Got to our room and our door handle card reader thing was about to fall off, but was fixed soon after we reported it! Rooms were a bit dated, sinks cracked, the drawers I couldn’t open it, only one socked worked, the tv reception was really bad/ non existent. The fridge temperature control was broken and drinks were almost frozen. No complaints about air con! Swimming pool was really nice and quiet, no rushing for beds in the morning, only cause we had the TUI guests area and bar away from the other 2 busy main pool areas witch were crowded and dirty with Americans and Canadians , loud music and smoking cigars in the pools ! Now, about the food: not very nice at all, for 11 nights we were there and food didn’t change once! , breakfast was ok, lunch was hot dogs , frozen pizzas and burned rubber burgers, fruit was ok and deserts also not very good! We both not fussy eaters and we couldn’t wait to get home to have some proper food! Beautiful beach, we had a lovely bar man called Luis Miguel that was very friendly! Overall i would rate this place a 3 star or even less, only based on the quality of the food, after all it supposed to be a 5 star resort! Would I be back again, probably yes but to a different resort.

I haven’t been to this resort complex in a few years and it has changed significantly. There used to be 5 resorts and now there are 4. The Bambu is a completely different resort with new swimming pools and facilities. But we loved it. Plenty of pool chairs Plenty of shade Great food at the buffets Clean rooms Good wifi This was a father and son getaway and we had a wonderful time at this resort. I will be going back

Beautiful place and a great beachfront view. The sunrise was the greatest experience I’ve ever had. 🥰
