The hotel is amazing, great staff great food and very welcoming

The facilities require an upgrade the pools have tiles missing, the pool bar had a huge tile missing on the front of the bar an accident waiting to happen!!!! Most of the service was very poor unless you where flashing the cash. I normally tip the staff at the end end of my holiday so not accustomed to tip every time I order a drink or food. This resort was sold to me as 5 star it is no where near 5 more like 3.5. The hotel shops are a rip off. I did have some nice experiences with some of the staff who were excelbut will write another review for these deserving people.

Had a lovely meal at Grazie Italiano restaurant. Everything was perfect, starting with the greeting from Iliana, leading to the service from Enrique who was very attentive. The food was delicious and we highly recommend trying here.

It was a great experience. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Hope the establishment treats them well.

Might be my longest review but you’ll want to read… we’ll start with the good: Out butler Roberto and Diamond Club server Casandra were the best people! Always smiling and attentive. “Vibe Crew was pretty good, they attempted to get the crowd involved in small activities. Really liked the guy that led the pool exercises, hate that I didn’t get his name. Spa was very nice, loved Sonya! Now for everything else: Pools are all gross. Bandaids there for all 5 days. Eyelashes, weave, murky water that obviously doesn’t filter. Beach is covered in seaweed and stinks. Diamond Club has a separate area on the beach that is served. Staff never made an effort to ask us if we wanted food or drink, always had to look for someone and the bartender was usually on his phone (tried to hide it behind a standing menu). Took food orders while nothing was being cooked for a hour. Maybe the cook was on lunch? No idea. You just stand there and wait not knowing what’s going on but nobody that works there ever acknowledges you or explains anything. Food at the main restaurants is good, but that’s only dinner. Outside of that it’s slim pickings. 5 days of nachos and burgers was enough for me. Insomnia cafe was advertised as open but ceiling was caved in so apparently not. Pool chairs are broken, pool towels are stained with holes and never available. I went to the bathroom numerous times throughout the day by the pool and it never had soap. Gross. Light sockets in the room were faulty. Our neighbors said they were given a cabana because of the roaches in their room. Lobby under construction. Staff asked if we needed help accessing Travelocity to make a review. I took the help offered but when the site opened the staff member starting hitting buttons and putting in 5 star reviews for me. I had to push his hand away and told him not to touch my phone. Saw them doing the same to others. Being pushy for good reviews. That explains the 4.4 I saw.
