Royalton Splash Punta Cana Resort & Spa

Clean and modern. Nice restaurants and good food. Variety at the buffet could be better. Fun time at the waterslide park and the Splash is only a 15 minutes walk to the beach. Very close to multiple golf courses which is why we went there.

Great resort with everything you need and some lovely restaurants. Our trip was enhanced greatly by upgrading to diamond club and having Santiago help us. He was great. Would definitely recommend and return.

We arrived to a lovely looking resort. The grounds and pools looked lovely on arrival. The rooms unfortunately were not. The state of our room was dated, damp and falling apart. My granddaughter and I were both extremely disappointed. We had paid extra for our room facing the pool. It felt like we were sleeping in the pool. Everything felt so wet/damp. The bathroom ceiling was leaking only to be falling down in the morning. The main door spring was broken resulting in an injured hand. The balcony door had no outside handle so don’t close it tightly if anyone is out there 😳. We reached the front desk in the morning and thankfully we met with Johnathan. He was extremely helpful. He assured us of a better room and filled my request for a dehumidifier for our room. It was two doors down the hall but it was an improvement. The bathroom ceiling was dry and the dehumidifier really helped. We emptied it twice a day ! Still no handle on the outside of the balcony door. The beds were comfy. The pools were a nice temperature, there are many tiles missing and you need to be careful but they are clean. The pool swim up bar “bubbles” is great. All guests have coloured wrist bands. So under aged guest are not given alcohol in error! Very clever! The buffet is rough as are the specialty restaurants. The pasta sauce is so thin in the buffet and the Italian restaurant “don’t waste your time”. Holly was magnificent in the Mexican restaurant but the quesadillas were a disappointment. We enjoyed the Zen restaurant at the sister hotel. It costs extra. Chef was fun and the food was good! Under the sea was ok, don’t try the steak, skinny and over cooked. Seafood platter was good. The splash slides were fun…there are six slides and all were a riot. Well maintained and many lifeguards. Two of them saved this old girl! The wave pool is small but good for the littles. We spent a day on the beach, we bought jewellery and went parasailing; $50 USD per person. Plenty of chairs and towels available. But if you are a guest of Splash you can’t eat or drink on the Hideaway side. The best part of this resort were the customer service reps EUCLARIS was the customer service rep in building 25 and 26. She was the best part of our vacation. She was there at every turn for anything we required. Restaurant reservations, more bottled water , a hairdryer or juice for the room, a late check out or any special requests. She will do very well in this company. I do hope management recognizes her talent. She is outstanding! Shout out to Cindy on the restaurant reservation desk. A real sweetheart! The first customer service rep we met, name will be withheld, was just focused on herself getting paid and selling a resort promotion for her own benefit. Skip past those ones and find Euclaris , Cindy or Johnathan As for our inconvenience with our room the hotel compensated us appropriately. In general I would not recommend this resort. I have stayed at several all inclusive resorts in my many years of traveling. This is a three star at best.
