We just got back yesterday from a 1 week stay. We were a group of 12, 3 different families all from the Ottawa Canada area. Pros: -Grounds are great. The walk to the beach is also very easy even with very young kids. -Staff was awesome (Shoutout to Elias, Nikki, Kelvin) at the Bubbles Pool bar. -A la cart restaurant were better than expected (Loves Jade and Teppanyaki) -Beans Café and Bites were great for coffee, pastries and something other than the buffet for lunch -Bubbles Pool was great for the kids. They had a shallow end but not too shallow so the kids enjoyed swimming and jumping around in that area. -Housekeeping was great, although we did not use it everyday as our kids napped in the afternoon and they always seemed to get to our room around that time. But they did a great job and any mini fridge or linen requests we had they delivered. Cons: -Rooms are probably the smallest we’ve ever stayed at. Barely enough room for stroller and 2 large luggages. They are also in need of major renovations in the room. Black mold near AC, broken patio door, loose faucets, cracked tiles, etc. -Pool although fun, all the kids ended up finding multiple pieces of tiles in the pool some were sharp and dangerous. -Buffet was probably the worst we’ve had while travelling (we always stayed in resorts of the same standard/price) so that was pretty disappointing. We did always find something to eat but it was not great. The lines were ridiculously long for the eggs in the morning or the Pasta at lunch and dinner. They should really consider adding a 2nd station for the Pasta and eggs. All in all we did not complain at the resort these small issues were not enough to ruin our vacation. We had an awesome time. Will we be back? Probably not there are much nicer hotels for the same price in Punta Cana.

Beautiful Punta Cana never disappoints. Our stay at the Royalton Splash was enjoyable and comfortable. Rooms were kept clean and stocked on the daily. Food was good, my favorite by far was the outdoor BBQ on the beach. Our butler, Edwin Berroa took wonderful care of us, making dinner plans and necessities easily accessible and worry free. We will definitely return some day, when the winter months feel so long.
