Royalton Splash Punta Cana Resort & Spa

All in all this resort is good but for me personally (family member with mobility issues) I would not return. (I will explain) Family of 4 (kids 13 and 17) Buffett is great with standard food and several selections Al a cart was great service. We loved Bella Cuchina the most Bladimir was the best Beach was awesome but far from splash resort side. Go early if you want shade. Rooms were clean and standard (stayed in building 29 with view of water park) Pools were great. Pool by building 29 on splash side could definitely use more shade Entertainment was good but could be better. Just comparing to my other vacations at other resorts where I looked forward to the shows daily. Here not as much, but still enjoyed it especially the live rock night! That was awesome! My not so great comes from a personal experience with my husband having medically induced mobility issues. Accessibility sucks so if you are a limited walker or are in a wheelchair chair or use walker, do your research. For us, it was a real pain waiting for the trolley especially in the evening when they are always full and not being able to get on one right away causing longer wait times. The trolley is only on a main road within the resort and then it only gets you as far as the front lobby for Punta Cana side. We contemplated a wheelchair, but would have had to rent one from an external service but from the advise from another family with a member in a chair they advised not to bother as it is difficult navigating across the uneven ground. Not the friendliest resort for accessibility. Joint benefits from two resorts is limited and diamond club doesn’t make much of a difference other than accessing a few more al a carte restaurants and diamond club beach. We discovered the hard way when refused entry at breakfast that the buffet was not a joint asset and no exception. We had no choice but to wait for a trolley to return to splash. It was a rough morning for someone in constant pain but we figured out a routine thereafter so no biggie. Despite the internet saying you can eat at both buffets, apparently management made this change very recently and I hope this isn’t the case for other resorts alike. We did have diamond club and were grateful (under our circumstances) as we were served lunch when at the beach. If we were all able bodies and no mobility issues I would opt out of diamond club if on splash side. Our butler was ok although didn’t really need anything other than him booking dinner for us which was confusing most days and being told to use different room numbers for our reservation. All in all it’s a great resort for families especially with younger kids. Just a place to reconsider if you have mobility issues. I think life would had been easier if I booked the Punta Cana side and my kids barely used the water park. They preferred the pool side activities.

Hotel was very nice and clean, very friendly staff and food was good as well. Would definitely recommend!

5 star experience ⭐ We had the most incredible stay at this hotel as a family. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 5 and a 1 year old and every single one of us had the best time. A special thank you to our butler Edwin Berroa , who truly made our trip extra special. He went above and beyond every single day, always with a smile, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It honestly wouldn’t have been the same experience without him! We was very lucky to have him as our butler. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — spotless, well-maintained, and full of friendly faces everywhere you go.
