Royalton Splash Punta Cana Resort & Spa

Firstly check in took around 40 minutes. The room was equipped with everything that was needed and was very clean. I'm a housekeeping manager in the UK and the cleaning standards were above average. However my room wasn't cleaned on 2 occasions and half way through the holiday the 3rd floor in block 27 was partitioned off for painting as soon as that happened there was no replenishing of the mini fridge etc. The splash pool was lively and the vibe team are a real asset to the hotel. Patricia Macarena was without a doubt the best when she was off for 3 days the vibe and energy just wasn't the same. Special shout out to Frankie he was brilliant. Omar and Miguel were fantastic too. Google Sanky Panky before you go to make you aware of how some staff attach themselves to women. I seen this with Andy Ronaldo Carlos and the Dj. The bar staff work hard but serve you quicker with flash of the dollar. Most of the time the music was catered towards the porta recan people who were lively and seemed to be having a great time.The toilets at the splash pool were clean however there was 2 days they were blocked and un-useable. The pool had many tiles missing and the cleanliness of the pool was questionable. Plenty of sun beds around the pool mostly with black mould and a huge lack of parasols. 10 parasols for over 160 loungers. The pool has green scum around the edges and could do with a good scrub. Breakfast lunch and diner were repetitive but there was something for everyone you won't starve. Reservations for the restaurants are difficult to get. After 8 days we were upgraded to Diamond Club minus a bulter. Evening entertainment was naff. No kids mini disco. Not a pool table or anything to pass the evenings with. The escape room was good fun. World Cup area was set up lovely. Unlimited burgers hotdogs etc in the bites bar. Everything else is a walk away or the little trains that always seemed to be full so you have to walk anyway. Water park is great fun but very very slippy. Nice lady doing massages around the bubbles pool and also at the beach some days. Bring snacks as the on site shops are expensive 7-10 dollars for crisps. Around 60 dollars for suncream and for women on that time of month it's 30 dollars for tanpax. Beware of the sellers within the hotel they charge 50 dollars for a necklace that can be purchased in the shop for 30. Overall a nice holiday... would I return No.

We overall really liked our stay at the Royalton Splash Punta Cana. The resort does a wonderful job delivering on great family experiences—especially with the incredible water park, which left a lasting impression on the kids. The absolute highlight of our trip was the service. The staff throughout the property are incredibly warm and welcoming, but a special shout-out must go to **Sorainny at Bella Cucina**. She was absolutely awesome! Her friendly energy, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made our dining experience there unforgettable. Staff members like her truly elevate the resort. The food options across the property, especially at the specialty restaurants, were also great and offered a nice variety. The only reason this isn't a perfect 10/10 is due to a rather bizarre design choice in the accommodations. Our family room did not have a door for the shower area. While the Autograph Collection is known for unique design, sacrificing basic privacy in a room meant for families was a strange choice that made getting ready a bit awkward. Aside from that room layout quirk, we had a beautiful vacation. If you are traveling with family, the service and amenities are fantastic—just be prepared for an open-concept bathroom!

Do not book! This place was less than a on star! I booked this for a client and it was a total nightmare. The refrigerator didn’t work none of the doors closed , the restaurants were unable as they said they needed to be booked by reservation which was not disclosed. Crappy buffet . Then they took my clients to another resort, unknowingly they were trapped there for a 90 min time share sales pitch! Also when I booked this hotel they were promised $300 in resort “credits” lies!!! It was some bs coupon book!! All lies the please was a dump and I would not recommend!
