Sunscape Coco Punta Cana

This resort was nice, however the pool bar pool was not very clean. The buffet was horrible but the specialty restaurants were fabulous! The bar service was slow. The seaweed was horrible in the ocean so we did not have that pretty clear blue water....the water water was so bad none of our crew even got in the ocean. This resort is not bad for the price.

We went June 3rd-7th. We had a swim out room that was very musty. Musty to the point that my wife had trouble breathing. I guess having the room so near the water was the issue, because we were shown several 1st floor rooms as alternatives and they were all musty. The good thing was that once we were using the room, it got better. The beach was full of sargassum, so we really didn't spend much time there. The food was good. I really enjoyed the fresh fish on the grill at the Kaleidoscope. The drinks were good, but you can't order anything that you have to explain because English is not understood well. I speak some Spanish, so I was able to explain some things and get by. The language barrier was real. The tiling in the hotels is a type that is very shiny and pretty. But it gets slick like glass when it gets wet. We had several people slip and fall when it rained and more than once. Picture women who took their fancy heels off so they could run out of the rain. Once they hit these tiles they fell immediately. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. All in all, the resort is pretty nice. The big main pool with the swim up bar was kind of crazy, so we spent most of our time in the quieter area near the Flip Flop bar. Now for the not-so-good: Out of 25 members of our group, only 2 didn't get sick as far as I know. We had people throwing up and stuck in the bathroom for days. I made it until the last day healthy, but got sick on the way home. My gut is just getting right as of today. I was very careful not to brush my teeth in the water etc. My wife and daughter were just as careful, but to no avail. Will probably not go back unfortunately.

Timon, Coco cola, Chocalaté, Shaggy, Gasolina and Teddy they were absolutely amazing. They kept everyone involved and entertained; the energy they carried was 10/10 and would definitely go back to see them dance. Thankful they made my stay at Sunscape coco a great experience.

We made the best of it but a definite disappointment. The main pool was DISGUSTING every day. The entertainment was decent but you could hardly enjoy because pool was so gross. When I say gross i mean trash, bandaids, food, hair extensions, bubbly foam and no visible efforts to improve it. Other cleaner quieter pools elsewhere but no others with swim up bar. Overall, drink service was slow and quality poor. That is even with cash tips at every order. No fun party energy from bartenders, often felt we were a nuisance. Only decent drinks were in the sports bar but that is only open at night, 18+ and small. Every bar ran out of all basics everyday. You could never count on any of the bars having basic ingredients. Seemed to slap have very limited quantities of name brand liquor, always running out. Food was average at best. Sunscape Club buffet was better but all other restaurants were dinner only and nothing to rave over. Rooms were functional but not in great condition. Tables beat up, chipped, wobbly. One mirror in hall, toilet very difficult to flush, no actual dresser with drawers. TV was not a smart TV, very poor screen quality. Housekeeping team was very sweet and consistent. The beach was not swimable due to the seeweed. No visible efforts to clear our improve that either. Overall, we're positive people and made the best but we were all ready to go home before our vacation was actually over. I would not recommend this resort and will definitely not be back.

Sunscape Coco resort is a beautiful resort & I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Love the staff at the resort, they work so hard and very friendly. Their nightly entertainment was top notch. Special shoutout to Tymone of entertainment team for taking good care of me. Shoutouts also to Yakelin our awesome housekeeping staff, our favorite waiter Roberto at Windows buffet restaurant, and Shaggy, Chocolate, Spaghetti, Coca-Cola, Gasolina, Timone for dancing their hearts out at every show.
