Unfortunately, from the moment my significant other and I arrived, our stay was ruined by problems that significantly impacted our experience. We were forced to change rooms three separate times due to cleanliness and maintenance concerns. Each room had a strong mildew odor, appeared poorly cleaned, and did not meet the standards one would expect from a resort of your reputation. Finding a suitable room became a recurring issue rather than a relaxing start to our vacation. Additionally, despite displaying the "Do Not Disturb" sign, resort staff entered our room without permission. This occurred multiple times and made us feel uncomfortable and that our privacy was not being respected. We also purchased the VIP package, expecting enhanced amenities and service. However, aside from receiving a late checkout, we experienced little to no additional benefits that justified the extra expense. The package was marketed as a premium experience, but the value simply was not there. The dining experience was equally disappointing. The portions at several restaurants were extremely small, particularly at the Brazilian restaurant. The quality and quantity of food were far below expectations and did not reflect what was advertised. We often left meals feeling unsatisfied. Service throughout the resort was inconsistent. At the Brazilian restaurant, we were frequently required to leave our table and get our own drinks from the bar because service was either unavailable or extremely slow. Additionally, one staff member was notably unfriendly and unwelcoming, which further diminished our dining experience. Overall, we spent a significant amount of money for what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Instead, we dealt with room issues, cleanliness concerns, lack of privacy, disappointing dining experiences, poor service, and VIP benefits that did not match what was promised. I had spoken to a manager at the resort who had promised me this would be solved, and here we are, back in the states with no resolution. Truly disappointed.
It was my first time at this resort. I felt like family as soon as I arrived. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was neat and well cleaned. It was also very cool (temperature). The food in the restaurants was good as well.
Not what I expected This all inclusive is very dated level of cleanliness was mid food and drinks were sub par if I come back to punta Cana it will be another resort this was a no for me
Services top notched! Digital, Gabriel, Julia and Elizabeth was top notch bar tenders in the lobby! Their welcoming spirits made the stay worthwhile. Winston and Miguel provided us with smiles and service top of the line. Maria M was the BEST home keeper in building 2100. Finally, Ferreira deserves all the respect! He was our go to guy for everything. He saved our excursion for sure and we can’t thank him enough. With all the 5 star accolades come the room review. Although Johancy was of great help, the rooms were not up to par. We did a family trip and booked 11 rooms. 2 rooms had to be moved 3 times because of AC problems. At some point the AC went out at the whole resort. We were not not happy with the AC conditioning in the rooms, but the overall experience was nice. High 5 to the landscapers, they had the grounds looking amazing.
Imagine coming here for your milestone birthday at the hope of having an amazing FAMILY FRIENDLY vacation and all your met with is false advertisement & gas lighting supervisors. Even after all the tears & begging someone to let us leave early because of how expensive & unrealistic this hotel worked offering you unlimited drinks but limited food options.. trying to get you drunk before being able to actually eat a real meal and changing rooms twice because of AC issues - which caused a huge mini flood in our hotel room , that the staff working were more aware of more then the supervisor on site. This resort claims to be family friendly - but many of the amenities including the restaurants and beach are not as advertised. The majority of the time you're unable to get food from anywhere but the "Market" - where you sit out in the heat with a few fans to cool you off (if they're working). The food itself in the market was ok - but the staff knownly made a few food safety violations (like using the same tongs on raw meat and immediately moving to cooked meat). The restaurants either had no Air Conditioning at all, no reservations available, or did not deliver the things ADVERTISED in their menu (Like the Brazilian Steakhouse that advertised Tomahawk Steak and Wagyu only providing 1 serving of Picaña steak - no other steaks in sight at a STEAKHOUSE). If you happen to miss the hours the market is open, you'll be happy to know they DO have a snack area - you won't be happy to know you share that snack area with all of the local birds. Even after informing management that the birds were all over the food. Even after informing management that the birds were stepping all over the food and bread and being assured they would handle it, the food remained uncovered and in extreme heats for HOURS with no replacement , ice or any cooling to any of the food to keep it at a safe eating for an INFANT & 6 YEAR OLD. If you manage to get food from this snack bar, you'll be treated to a view of the seaweed covered beach - far from what's advertised. Bad enough that I paid money to drive to another beach TWICE instead of staying at the one I paid money for. I travel often, and have never been this disappointed in a stay. It got to a point where the manager stopped responding to our text messages because of how bad things were. This hotel is a scam, DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN , they will for sure get a food Bourne illness by the end of your trip. If it’s not from being heated in the 100 degree weather it’s from the bird the staff knownly watched eat the food and step all over it & never replaced. Absolutely disgusting & they don’t expect to give a refund ? PLEAEE EVERYONE DO NOT STAY HERE, 5 star renovations but I had to get rid of my slippers because of the excessive amount of water in the room and almost fell holding my infant in hands because no one pre warned us of how unstable the ac conditions were which happened for the entirety of our trip. Do yourself a favor and book a cruise even if it’s the smallest ship with the worst food, it would be 100 times better then spending your hard earn cash at tropical princess.
