Tropical Deluxe Princess

Overall we enjoyed our time there but a lot of our enjoyment could be tied to the amazing workers we found ourselves interacting with day to day. We are pretty good at finding workers who treat us amazing and doing what we can to be around them (be at bars or restaurants). To call out some of the amazing workers: The bartender Yovani was amazing and made every interaction feel amazing. He was bringing fun to the bar with every person there. The bartender Francisco was also amazing. They both took the time to recognize us and were always gracious even when busy. De la Paz was an amazing waiter for us at the beachouse snack bar/buffet. He always made sure we had what we needed and was willing to help make sure our meal there was perfect. Our buffet waiter Rafael was also amazing. He would give service that felt like he was there just for us, and not that we were just a number. When we sat in his area, it was night and day for us vs if we sat in a random section where we didn't know the waiter. On the downsides, the management clearly is trying to penny pinch in areas that seem foolish to do so in. They make sure you never have more towels than the number of people in your room (god forbid someone needs a second towel for their hair or any other reason). Some of our group didn't even get left enough towels for each person in their room. They also don't seem to give any blankets (we had 1 in a room with a full bed, bunk beds and a trundle bed). At least they didn't mess with them once we requested extras. Then some of the sheets they did use probably should be gotten rid of for the resort feel. We had one night with a pretty obvious pen stain and another where the hem was all ripped up (which was right by the pillows in the middle of the bed so pretty obvious). They are also hit or miss on running enough shuttles before/after shows. Usually it was two but a lot of the times it was only 1. The walk is only 5-7 minutes but if you have individuals who can't/don't want to walk it you are stuck. Since there is no line for them, it turns into a very aggressive loading of the shuttle. If you aren't willing to shove people out of the way or have little ones, you are just going to be stuck waiting for multiple shuttle rounds until the line goes away. All in all, we enjoyed our time. We have been to DR many times and are familiar with how things work. The price we paid was really good for the value we got and there are always some things you would like better, but I didn't pay for a full 5 star resort. I'm so thankful that our bartenders and waiters helped make our vacation amazing. I really can't say enough about them and I'm sure we will talk about the 4 of them for years to come.

Ana at the front desk was very friendly and recommended a suite for my friend and I. We stayed in room 2206 close to the beach and the buffet restaurant has the best omelets. Also we were there for a week and eat at every restaurant on the resort. I would say the seaweed stinks because its so much and they tried removing it everyday allday. Also had our room cleaned daily and were given fresh towels daily. I did not pay extra for VIP but we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this Resort because its affordable, entertaining, excursions and family friendly. Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy!!!!!

Staying at the Tropical deluxe princess resort had mixed results the surrounding areas are very nice and kept well maintained nice animals has you walk from the reception to your room the staff are great and helpful and nice that Sra Loanmi and the doctor checked up on me has I got a bit of food poisoning from the food buffet and didn’t eat and drink much for a few days and later collapsed maybe dehydrated in which this was how nice the staff are, if you want easy food go to the sports bar great staff and tip well they will look after you when you visit top guys and a shout out to the guest service team very helpful, the beach is full of seaweed which is an eyesore at time the pools are always busy and need to be out early to get beds or the beach is the only option, went to the Italian restaurant and wasn’t that imprest with options and quality of food, entertainment was ok too and if you need the reception at any point beware it’s always busy and not enough staff working behind for the amount of people at hotel

We celebrated our honeymoon at Tropical Deluxe Princess. It was our first time visiting the resort. We had a relaxing and joyful time. Our rooms were clean, cozy, and modern. We were able to walk right to the pool, bar, or beach (room 3002). Our favourite time was going to the roof top bar and ordering a piña colada and passion tropical (super bueno!) from Francis and Esmerlyn. If you want to find the best drinks in the resort, you’ve got to go to these two amazing bartenders! Also, the beach house had the best super buenos! Yovanny, David, and team were always so welcoming and joyful. We loved starting our day at the pool with them. They truly exude amazing customer service! Lastly, we need to spotlight our most memorable night - private dinner at the beach hosted by La Cava. Our server Gabriel went above and beyond to create the most beautiful date of our lives. We had the most exquisite seafood dinner (lobster, prawns, octopus, seafood soup). Delicious! The only thing we did not like was that all the restaurants were fully booked, and we did not get to experience any of them. Also, the beach had a lot of algae so we did not swim in the beach. Overall, the value of the experience was worth the price! Thank you to the TDP team for a lovely vacation.

It was my first time at this resort. I felt like family as soon as I arrived. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was neat and well cleaned. It was also very cool (temperature). The food in the restaurants was good as well.
