Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel

I stayed here last week for 6 nights. I booked a sea view signature room. The refurbished rooms are beautiful however the first room I checked in to 401 had no shower (only a bath tub) but it did have its own terrace with sun loungers overlooking the sea. I swapped rooms as preferred a shower so was moved to 509 which did have the shower but not the large terrace with sun loungers but that was fine as I preferred the shower instead. The room was beautiful with nice views. For me what let this place down was the lack of umbrellas for relaxing by the pool or beach. The pool area is small with only 11 umbrellas which were always reserved very early and I could never get one. What was frustrating was beds were reserved but not actually used for the most of the day. There are no umbrellas on the beach so it makes a relaxing day on the beach uncomfortable as you’re in the direct sunshine with no shade. I did notice though as I walked along the beach there were none from anywhere else so maybe it’s a beach rule. Shihan in guest relations was perfect in recommending and booking trips, he is a credit to the hotel. Beau Vallon was the perfect place to stay as there were many restaurants and street food places all within walking distance of the hotel. If I returned to the Seychelles I would choose another hotel purely for the beach/pool experience.

The location was perfect and close to the airport and Eden Marina. It was an enjoyable resort to stay at. The rooms were clean and seemed well maintained and clean. We received a complimentary upgrade to an ocean front room which was great. It was nice to be close to walking distance to dive shops and other restaurants.

Best stay & facilities. Overall experience is excellent. Mahek restaurant food is good for Indian cuisine. Beach & Pool view from balcony.

Hotel is good but not in all aspects a 4 star hotel the hotel it selfs seems a little dated. The service and staff are definitely amazing and very friendly especially Shihan he granted us a later check out and was amazing in assisting us.

Best experience ever, friendly staff as well Shihan was always willing to advice and recommend the activities to do, he made our stay very easy and felt like we are at our own home, I give him a 10/10, he is very patient and so much friendly, that goes to Lawrence and Shandesh as well always recommending nice food and drinks at the restaurant, big ups to you gentlemen.. Lindy, the ever smiling lady, made us feel welcomed with her everyday smile and interaction with us.. Thank you much
