Raffles Seychelles

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days and had a mix of experiences. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, though there were some irritations. It seemed as there were two separate organizations that are totally disconnected. I had already communicated extensively with various staff members before our arrival; everyone was very helpful, all inquiries were answered immediately, and we had already booked a great deal. Although we arrived very early, the room was already available and everything was prepared as discussed. Except for one phone call in which we were asked to make a reservation for the evening. The lady confirmed that we didn’t have a reservation. I didn’t make a new reservation—we’d already done that in advance. We then went to the agreed-upon restaurant, we had a reservation and everything went as planned. That evening, we were supposed to stop by the front desk briefly to discuss the menu for the next day’s dinner on the beach. But the next morning, another call came asking us to make a reservation for that evening. "There is definitely no reservation for dinner on the beach" was the message. About two hours later, there was another call—this time to discuss the dinner in detail and reserve a buggy for 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., however, there was no buggy there; I ordered one, and it arrived quickly. When asked where I was going, I said to dinner at the beach. The buggy driver said that wasn’t possible, drove past the front desk, and was told that nothing had been planned. On a hunch, he drove to the beach, and lo and behold—everything was set up and went as planned. The buggy driver even suggested we ask our butler… but there wasn’t one. On the one hand, everything was great; on the other, no one knew anything. There were quite a few of these situations that were consistently very unsettling. This is likely more of a management issue than a problem with individual staff members. But the truly wonderful experiences definitely outweighed the rest. First and foremost, Aarush, who made our dinner at the beach a memorable experience; Ayush, who took great care of us during our private BBQ at the villa; Herman, who gave us great tips during the cocktail-mixing class; and—absolutely outstanding, one-of-a-kind, and full of passion—Margaret, who shared so many wonderful insights with us during the Rum Experience. Many thanks also to everyone else who isn’t mentioned by name here. You gave us a truly wonderful, pleasant, and relaxing time that we won’t forget anytime soon. It wouldn’t be right not to highlight the performance of the staff at the “well-run organization,” so 5 stars nonetheless.

My partner and I have traveled to Seychelles for his 50th birthday! This should be a memorable stay and it was even more than that! At our arrival we have been brought directly to our vila, an amazing pool vila ocean view on the top of the resort, and the check-in was done super quick no stress, all the facilities were clearly explained to us and then we had a tour of the resort that and even shown the resort’s turtles! Our was just amazing, the view, the calm, the pool, the bathtub over all the green… no words to describe how amazing it was! The hotel’s guest relations, Otman introduced himself to us on the first day and was a true “heartist” and always making his best to make this stay even more remarkable, he was always available and when we had request, the replies were quick and all was well taken care! He really made our stay memorable and gave us the will to come back. The birthday with the message on the bed and the cake, the sundown in anse Lazio was marvelous and truly recommend all guests to give it a try! Big thank you to the breakfast/lunch/dinner staff, that were also amazing making us almost feel like home every-time that we have been at the restaurant! Thank you Elvyra and all the others you have been amazing. This stay will definitely be engraved in our memories for a long time and even if I could say so much more even about buggy service staff and others, words are not enough to express how thankful we are to have chosen this resort for our stay!

Our stay at raffles Seychelles has been exceptional the entire is amazing especially guest relations manager otman who went above and beyond for us during our entire stay. He is amazing. And also a special mention of the executive chef Frank Martin and his entire team including chef Ali who prepared for us a some amazing food and Samir, Cecile and Neha who were so gave us amazing service. Chef Frank and his entire team are an absolute gem and an asset to the raffles brand. Thank you team for making our stay at Raffles Seychelles exceptional can’t wait to be back again very soon inshallah.
