Le Duc de Praslin Hotel & Villas

We have just had a lovely stay at Le Duc. Overall, the stay was great - almost perfect. We were greeted by the friendly Florea who provided us with a welcome drink and a nice cool towel. She was a friendly presence throughout our stay. We were delighted to be upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite which was a very beautiful room. However, we found it lacked seating options for the two of us as the outside courtyard had four very different seating options for one, (bean bag, hanging chair, rocking chair, sunbed) meaning we could not comfortably enjoy a drink out there together. Each of these seating options didn’t lend itself well to the table outside and so we used the single inside chair out there. Additionally, the outside shower was not practical as no shower gel or shelf to put things, so after a first shower running between the inside and outside, we only used the inside one. Despite this, the room was nice and we appreciated the pillow menu, which when a different pillow was requested, this arrived rapidly. The food was very good. Special shout out to Chef Dharani who went above and beyond for me as I have allergies and dietary restrictions, making me off menu items and ensuring she knew what I wanted each day. She also checked in on us at our table. In addition Chef Mahesh was also very helpful and friendly, but all in all, every member of staff was very friendly and very helpful. The service is second to none. Each day the chefs would show me what I could eat and it was always delicious. I felt safe eating here and would not hesitate to return. The buffet changes daily so there is plenty of variety, and the quality of the food is good in contrast to other hotel buffets. Only point for improvement for the food would be more protein in vegetarian / vegan options, and more variety in dessert as only vegan option is sorbet (although there was an agar agar dessert one day). The hotel reception was very good at organising our transfers and car hire, and they were very responsive and helpful on the phone. The resort is beautiful, with lots of flowers and it is well maintained. The beach is stunning and the beach staff very friendly. We did struggle to fully relax inside the resort during the day due to noise - there was a mixture of constant pop music, maintenance and construction meaning we could not comfortably relax. However we did not spend much time in the room anyway. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend this resort and we would love to come back. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so memorable.

We had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and everyone was friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Da Silva, who made our visit even more enjoyable with exceptional hospitality, kindness, and professionalism. Their warm attitude and attention to detail truly stood out. We highly recommend this place and would definitely love to come back!

A mid-to-upscale resort that truly lives up to expectations. The property is spread across several accommodation buildings and features a main restaurant, a beachfront restaurant, and two swimming pools, one of which is reserved exclusively for adults. The staff are exceptionally attentive and genuinely friendly. We encountered an issue with our room allocation (which was not the hotel’s fault), and the manager, Ron, handled the situation with outstanding professionalism, efficiency, and kindness. He even offered us a complimentary room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated and certainly not expected. Our Superior Room was spacious, with a beautiful terrace and an impressively large bathroom. Two highlights deserve a special mention: the bidet (a rare and very welcome feature outside Italy) and the huge walk-in shower, which had excellent water pressure and precise temperature control. The L’Occitane bathroom amenities were another lovely touch. We chose to have dinner at the hotel every evening, and the buffet was consistently excellent, offering an impressive variety of dishes, including exceptionally fresh seafood, high-quality meat options, and plenty of vegetarian choices. Breakfast was good, although not quite at the same outstanding level as dinner. That said, the egg station was excellent. The hotel’s beach is just a short walk away, accessed via a quiet internal road. It is spacious, never felt crowded, and offers plenty of shaded areas. The beachfront restaurant is also excellent and well worth visiting. The hotel also features a spa, although we did not have the opportunity to try it during our stay. We would highly recommend this resort and would gladly return.

Our family recently stayed in the 360-degree villa for a week and had a very pleasant holiday. The accommodation itself was well-kept and always tidy, providing a comfortable base for our trip. We especially appreciated the strong security presence right near our house, which gave us a reassuring sense of safety throughout the entire week. Everything from the general organization of the hotel to our day trips was handled smoothly and without any issues. A big thank you to the team who took care of our stay: Hilda at the front desk for organizing our excursions, our helpful butlers Deefthi and Tharind for keeping everything in order, and the reliable security guards. We also really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The kitchen team was cheerful, had a great sense of humor, and always gave us good recommendations for our meals. A nice little bonus was the very generous scoops of ice cream they handed out to the guests. Breakfast was always a good start to the day, featuring excellent waffles and the thoughtful gesture of having my large drinking glasses prepared in advance before I even asked. The evening meals, especially the barbecue, were also really well done. We would like to express our gratitude to the cooks and waitstaff for the good food and attentive service: our chefs Janaka, Dias, Mahesh, Keisha, Georjoe, and Dharani, along with our very polite waiters Mohamad and Lucas.
