2nd visit, first time B&B only. This time included Dinner. Breakfast great choice & standard (although question carrots and green beans!) Dinner was a complete let down. Oxtail and Pigs Trotters for 2 of the nights?? Got told off for getting water from the machines? Dined out after that. So go for breakfast only, hotel was nice, great position and well kept. We were told jacuzzi was hot, it was freezing and filthy. Shower went scolding hot in both our bathrooms, randomly & dangerous. Take teabags, if you like tea!! Entertainment not our taste.

Some pros and cons for the hotel itself. The hotel lobby is fairly modern along with the restaurant. Sadly it ends there with very dated looking rooms. The room itself we had - no lock on bathroom door, balcony door does not lock, was on 2nd floor however felt uneasy leaving belongings in there. Can hear every little thing that is happening outside the room, doors and walls very thin allowing noise to travel. When in bed you're unable to turn any lights off or charge your phone next to you, there's no plug sockets next to the bed and no switches to turn off the lights so once comfortable you have to the get out and turn them off. Air conditioning was set to central control so we had no choice in how warm or cold the room was. Attention to detail in the room itself was poor, gaps in the skirting board, very 80s look apart from the bedding and a canvas picture on the wall, even the ceiling was those polystyrene squares, didn't really give a fresh look like the pictures suggest unfortunately. Also lots of building work going on on our floor, corridor was messy and had some type of paper rolled out on top of the carpet. If you like a lie in I would consider looking else where as workmen make a fair bit of noise. Breakfast - decent choice but the toaster takes around 6 minutes to even begin browning your toast, day 1 I got my food, then thought I'd get my toast, the food was cold by the time I ended up with my toast. Fresh juice options would be a nice touch not a machine. Roof top pool and bar, clean but a bit unloved, part of the decking is cracked or missing in areas which again removed that feeling of the hotel being well kept. Wifi - quick and works in all areas I was in. Pool towels - 10 euro deposit for each towel, they only accept cash for this. Avoid using the hotel ATM, I took 20 euro note out, monzo charged 25GBP For the pleasure. Area - convenient area not far from transport links.

Good location minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Nice roof top pool and pool bar. The main bar is nice and the evening entertainment was ok. We did enjoy the Brazilian show. Good breakfast offering. We had a junior suite which was a good size. I would have preferred a dressing table and mirror above rather than a desk with TV above. There was nowhere other than the bathroom to do hair and make-up. Disappointed that whilst tea and coffee is supplied, there's no milk and when we queried this the reception suggested buying milk at the nearby supermarket. As we were only there 3 nights it wasn't worth it. Would have much preferred milk to the jars of sweets and lollipops which went unopened and were probably thrown away. A personal bugbear in hotels are hairdryers in the bathroom with very tight curly wire so you have to grapple with it the whole time you're drying your hair and where you have to keep your finger on the on button. I'd much rather a proper hairdryer and wished I'd taken my own.

Arrived early afternoon to be told no room available then offered there sister hotel which is at side of a duel carriageway the beach is that far away they have a free shuttle bus only between may and October as we were trying to find out another couple were checked in asked receptionist how come they got checked in reply was you were not chosen there was no duty manager available holiday company said that they was unaware of building work going on but when we got moved eventually to another hotel which was in same location and board as this one we got talking to another couple who had same issue the day before had two more holidays booked for this hotel but have now cancelled them both because I don't know who to belive it's ashame because we have stayed there before and really enjoyed it

Just returned from a one week stay at this 4* hotel. After checking in and going to our 1st floor room I was really disappointed to find I had actually checked us into a building site due to most of the 1st floor rooms close to our allocated superior junior suite being renovated. There is no mention of any renovations on the hotels website or any third party sites selling accommodation for this hotel because I would certainly have had second thoughts booking our stay here. Apparently there were no other rooms to change to (which is rubbish) so we put up with noise from before breakfast until 5 pm at the earliest. Personally I think that the whole of the 1st floor should have been entirely shut to holiday makers because who wants to pay to listen to banging and drilling on a holiday? On a more positive note, this hotel is spotlessly clean. It has a small pool area on the ground floor with sunbeds but also a second pool on the roof top area which has fantastic views of the surrounding area reaching down to Benalmadena port. The restaurant served some delicious food on an evening and also at breakfast, there were many choices to choose from and we enjoyed our food. The lobby bar provided a welcoming, nice atmosphere, especially at happy hour and also when there was entertainment. Most staff were friendly and approachable but a special mention to Paula in the restaurant and to Adrian and Laura in the lobby bar. they were so friendly and chatty - these employees make your hotel! Would we return? Yes, but hopefully when there are no renovations taking place Do we recommend? Yes Would we stay here again? Yes, hopefully it would be quieter. Do we recommend? yes but make sure the building work is complete. No fun staying with noise.
