Great location for the Seafront. Although the views from the balcony don't show much the rooftop makes up for it. Clean and tidy with a good Breakfast and entertainment in the evenings.

Although this is a good location, with easy access to the beach and many restaurants and shops, overall this is a good 3 star hotel, but lacks the quality I expect from a 4 star establishment, particularly one with Hyatt branding. Check in process was efficient if lacking a little in warmth of greeting. Rooms are described as sea or mountain view; while mountains are visible in the background this is an urban location and the mountain views are foregrounded by buildings of various heights which reduces the visual appeal. The superior double room with balcony was large and clean and the bed provided a good night's sleep on a pleasantly firm mattress. The soft furnishings seemed tired, a throw across the foot of the bed looking like it had seen better days, similarly the cushions. The bedside lighting needs a rethink, the lights on each side of the bed did not operate independently so if you have one person wanting to sleep and another to read it's impossible to accommodate. The room lacked the little amenities I'd typically expect from a 4 star, particularly in an adults only establishment - neither tissues, cotton buds, nor body lotion, just plain soap and toilet paper (and obviously towels). The shower over bath was not powerful enough to be effective. The rooms need a refresh which I believe is in progress on some floors. A charge of 21 euros to use the room's safety deposit box should not be necessary, again not my typical experience of 4 star establishments. Breakfast offered a reasonable variety of options, good to have eggs/omelettes made to order, although something of a pinch point with only one chef manning the plancha. Food available from buffet warming plates has an unattractive appearance. Bacon looks simultaneously dried out and impossible to separate slices, yet sitting in oil. Queues regularly formed at the self service hot drink machines. Similar pinch points at dinner with grilled to order meat or fish requiring queuing at the plancha. The chef does do a good job juggling the orders timely. Again the taste of food is influenced by its appearance and often looked unappetising. Desserts are a relative strength, good selection and sensible portion sizes so you can try one or two without overindulging. Table service was variable, Patricia seemed to neglect some clients and favoured others, Paula (I believe) in contrast was consistently professional and attentive to all. As a regular traveller to Spain it was also the first time I experienced a system of drinks payments where you were required to present your order to a cashier desk as you exited the restaurant in order to settle your account. Not a problem per se, but it would be helpful if this is explained on the first night. I look forward to visiting the area again, however doubtful I will return to this hotel given the many alternatives available.
