Costa del Sol affiliated by Melia

​This was our first stay at the Ocean House Costa del Sol since it transitioned from being affiliated with Melia to the Grupotel brand, and we were thrilled to find that the exceptionally high standards have been fully maintained. It was such a lovely bonus to see so many familiar, friendly faces among the staff who always make us feel so welcome. The hotel remains beautifully clean, modern, and boasts a perfect location just a short, pleasant stroll away from the Benalmádena Marina. ​There is a wonderful, relaxed vibe here with a nice mix of both couples and families. Our four-year-old daughter had great fun, thanks in part to the great daytime entertainment and activities provided for both adults and kids. We also absolutely love the hotel's strict policy against reserving sunbeds early in the morning. It completely eliminates that stressful morning rush you so often get at other resorts and keeps the pool area relaxing for everyone. ​As for the accommodation, we booked a "Suite with Mediterranean View" and were allocated a room on the 5th floor of Block 3, and the views from our balcony were lovely. The layout is a dream for families because there is a clever sliding door separating the main bedroom from the lounge area where the sofa bed is. Our daughter loved the fact that she essentially had her own private room, which gave us all a bit of extra space and privacy. We had another wonderful holiday here and we definitely plan to return!

Stayed here twice now and both times had a lovely time. Hotel is very well located a stones throw from the beach and the promenade with bars & restaurants close by. Rooms are spacious and have a seperate area with an additional bed and sliding doors which was ideal when travelling as a group. Only stayed b&b but breakfast was good and lots of choice. Sun beds can get busy but they are very good at removing towels, i used to love watching for entertainment purposes when people came back & towels had been taken! Fantastic fitness classes, in pool spin and balance beds for yoga. We had a water slide and slip and slide out whilst we were there for the younger ones which went down a treat. Always good music on down at the bar and reasonable price cocktails for a day drink. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when were in this area.

On arrival we discovered that we were not in a room overlooking the pool with Mediterranean and marina view which we had paid extra for ,we felt that Jet 2 were very misleading in the photos on there website and that there are two other blocks that they don’t show and give you the impression that you will be on the front block but no there are two other blocks in the rear so our view was between two blocks.i will say that the jet 2 reps did explain but couldn’t move us to the front block. We stayed 10 nights in May and never witnessed any mad dash for sun beds when pool opened at 9 I only saw 2 people queue it was then steady across the morning mainly because all beds had a number on them and any reserving towels were removed . The hotel has a great location on front ,the food is ok ,as for upgrading to premium we didn’t go for it as the premium lounge is about the size of our living room with little seating. This hotel has a large amount of weekend guests many hen parties and men’s golfing groups so could be quite boisterous Although affiliated to Melia it’s not Melia .would we go again yes if price was right as we thought it is a bit pricey overall

Very clean hotel in an excellent location. The beach is literally right outside the gate, and the marina and plenty of great restaurants are within easy walking distance. The pool bar is a highlight, serving great cocktails and tasty food, while the main food offering is decent overall. The only downsides are that you’ll need to get up early to secure a sun lounger, as they are in high demand, and the hotel can feel quite busy later in the day, especially around the pool area. I also informed the hotel in advance that it was my 40th birthday during my stay, but there was no acknowledgment, which was a little disappointing. That said, the fantastic location and cleanliness of the hotel make it a great choice for a beach holiday. With the beach directly outside the hotel gate, it’s easy to find somewhere to relax even when the pool area is busy. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay and would consider returning.

I stayed in the ocean house in may after hotel had changed owners, I’ve Been coming to the hotel for last 6 years 3/4 times each year! Though May trip just wasn’t the same I was a premium guest though did not feel the same from not even giving a wrist band till the 3rd day though lucky I knew how everything work as a past client though for anyone that would of been new to the hotel I would of felt sorry for them! The premium lounge was a free for all! Guest who were not premium guest just walking in lifting drinks as no staff around in the lounge at all for the week I stayed! Also rooms are getting a bit tired inside and floors need replaced! And the bubbles in your room on arrival looks like it’s stopped or we just didn’t get any! Only thing positive still is the bar staff are fantastic and rooms are cleaned very well… Let’s hope the new owners sort things out around hotel and keep standards up! I’ve a room booked in September so il judge it then if it’s not improved il not be back…
