Globales Los Patos

Rooms were great, location good, food was ok. Staff were pleasant, however felt the restaurant staff less so. Great for families as splash pools brilliant.

e stayed at Globales Los Patos Park from 5–15 July as a family with our five-year-old daughter. There are definitely positives. The children’s splash park and pools are fantastic, and when you could get the food, it was tasty. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The all-inclusive drinks system is one of the worst we’ve experienced. You get one tiny cup each and can only collect one drink per person at a time. This means constant trips to the bar and very long queues, which is especially frustrating when you have children. The sunbed situation was absolute chaos. People were queuing from around 8am for gates that didn’t open until 10am, with some guests even jumping fences or pushing into queues. I was actually pushed by another guest trying to get ahead, and staff simply stood by without managing the situation. To make matters worse, the hotel was also selling day passes to local visitors. There weren’t enough loungers or pool space for the guests already staying at the hotel, so allowing even more people to use the facilities made an already stressful situation even worse. As paying hotel guests, we felt this was completely unfair. Food quality was good, but there often wasn’t enough of it, leading to huge queues. The children’s food selection was also quite limited for a hotel aimed at families. One of our biggest disappointments was that the children’s evening entertainment was cancelled on five of the ten nights because football was being shown instead. I understand football is important to many people, but families book this hotel because it’s advertised as being child-friendly. Our daughter spent many evenings bored or back in the room. The dinner schedule also didn’t work for families. Dinner didn’t open until 7:30pm, while the mini disco started at 8pm. With the long queues for food, we missed most of the children’s entertainment. The reason for my low rating, however, is what happened on our final morning. Our transfer was at 7:45am. Our five-year-old daughter suffers badly from travel sickness, so I simply asked if I could take some toast from breakfast for her while she waited with my husband and our luggage. I was refused by both restaurant staff and a manager named Albro, despite explaining several times why she needed something to eat. I was even told it was “not his problem.” The lack of empathy was shocking. As a result, my daughter travelled without breakfast and was sick for most of the journey to the airport. A little compassion would have made all the difference. Sadly, despite the nice pool, this experience completely overshadowed our holiday, and we would not choose to stay here again.

2nd time here and its honestly a really great hotel. Most staff are great apart from one very moody and rude barman in the main bar at night, I have seen other reviews about this man so its not a one off. If it wasnt for him I would rate it 5 stars.

Shocking that when breakfast opens at 8am you can't get outside. It should be ready when restaurant opens and no menu to tell you what is on menu for dinner that night aswell. If you coming down at 9am your allowed outside then. Maybe need to change your times off breakfast to make sure full restaurant is ready. Also when asked the staff very rude did not tell us.
