After reading the reviews I was genuinely worried however we arrived checked in fast and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good variety of both hot and hot cold options. We had lunch on 1/5 days we stayed, it was okay I think we just had a bar snack one of the days and ate out the rest. Dinner was a mixed bag for us my husband thought there was a good variety and enjoyed the food, I on the other hand was very unwell after eating dinner on the first night, I can’t say it was directly linked to the food as my husband was fine. The rest of the nights we ate out. We didn’t see much of the day time entertainment as we went out around lunch time most days but the evening mini disco was a hit with our son. We did stay during the Halloween break so the hotel had some special events on such as trick or treating and face painting and decorations around the hotel. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything which was only an issue on our last night with trying to get to bed a bit earlier. The lift situation could be a bit annoying but there is always the stairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay despite going into it with the negative reviews in our minds.
Listed as a 4 star Hotel, never in a million years. Total refurb needed. Overcrowded and very cramped. We stayed B&B breakfast poor. Safe charged at €10 per day, a rip off. One small complimentary bottle of water on arrival, after that nothing. Don't waste your hard earned cash, book another hotel. Tables, sunloungers and parasol bases around pool need good clean.
The hotel rooms were ok but a little cramped, was supposed to be room enough for a family, only 3 of us - my wife and I and our daughter but we found it a little small, limited space and storage etc. Charged extra for a safe and kettle, bit excessive. The hotel facilities were good, great pool for kids, ok entertainment in the evenings. Staff attentive and helpful. The food in the restaurant was sub-par, breakfast was ok, but same things everyday. Lunch and evening meals poor, so much so we ate out most evenings.
Do not go to this hotel!! We booked for a family holiday October half term. The rooms were tiny and not what we paid for, when we complained the guy spoke to us like rubbish. The beds were tiny and rock hard. No room to move. The pool area was packed and absolutely filthy! It stunk of chip pan fat from the snack bar! No sunbeds and I wouldn’t lay on them anyway they weee filth with holes in! How this hotel is 4 star is beyond me. We walked out after 30 mins and paid for an air b&b, complaint gone into to Jet2 for some refund. Avoid!
We came as a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children aged 8 and 3) at the start of October for a week and loved it! We booked a double room with a gorgeous view of all of the pools. We had 2 double beds and pushed them together. The room wasn't very spacious but we didn't spend much time in there so it didn't really matter. We were all inclusive so were there for breakfast and tea most days. Breakfast was always lovely with plenty of choices including cereals for the kids. There was a different theme every tea time which was good for the adults but there wasn't much choice for if you have picky kids, which we did. The snack bar served chicken nuggets, chips, toasties, and hot dogs which my picky eaters lived off. There is a McDonalds up the road too. We saw reviews about the pools being cold, which they are, but as soon as you're in there you warm up pretty quick. My 8 year old loved the slides and made a friend so was up and down each slide whilst we stayed in the water with our 3 year old. The lifeguards are definitely on ball with their jobs as my 8 year old jumped in the pool through an inflatable ring and kind of tipped upside down but I was there and got her but the lifeguard was nearly halfway to us in a flash. The night time entertainment wasn't very good. There's a kids disco from 8 o'clock which our kids found boring so we went to the beach or shopping most nights. We did go to the park by the pool at the back one night but that seemed to be where the boisterous kids were left and weren't being very nice so we didn't go back. The hotels literally a 2 minute walk from the beach with shops that sell beach stuff, snacks and memorabilia to your left when you come out of the hotel which is really handy. The marina is about a 30 minute walk away so we got a taxi there (if you ask at the hotels front desk they will call a taxi for you and it'll be outside within a few minutes) and then walk back to the hotel past all the restaurants and shops. The Sea Life Centre is at the marina but I wouldn't recommend it for the price we paid as it's pretty much like the ones we have in the UK which are also overpriced. We also did Selwo Marina which has a little zoo and a part where you can get close to some penguins which the kids loved, Cable Carts, Bird of Prey Show which is at the top of the cable carts and has a little hiking trail with some stunning views, Mini Golf which is on the sea life centres roof, the little arcades in the hotel, a Dolphin Boat Trip where we saw 2 dolphins playing, the Ferris Wheel just past the marina which has an amazing view of Benalmadena, and the Bioparc which was hands down the best zoo we've ever been to. All in all I'd definitely recommend for a family trip, we had a blast.
