Globales Los Patos

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, all inclusive both times. First time, my kiddos were 6 now they are 10. This hotel caters for both ages easily. The first time we spent the majority of our time at the middle pool area with the pirate ship which is more suitable for the wee ones, This time we were either at the top pool with the slides or the pool at the bottom. Everything is very clean, the pools the hotel and rooms. The drinks are great. You are given a token for each person and you can use these tokens for drinks and either swap the cups back for tokens or for another drink.... its a simple process and stops folk leaving cups everywhere. And keeps the place tidy. All the staff are great. The receptionists, the cleaners all the serving staff in the restaurant..... and the bar staff. You get the odd.... person(customer) ....that is rude (sense of entitlement) but I felt the staff handle this very well. The lady on the snack bar is such a lovely lady. If you upset her, there is something wrong with you. Food in the evening was great, there is a different theme every night but there is a section that was always pizza, pasta and chips. For those fussy kids. Perfect holiday for both sun worshippers either by the pool or quiet areas or for those non-sun worshippers and sitting at the bar area which is sheltered You can hire additional towels for the pool side.... I think its a great idea 10 euro a towel and you do get it back when returned.... you hold them for the duration or you can replace with fresh for a euro. The life guards do a great job. They keep the kiddos safe and are friendly.... although I think some folk treat them like childminders.....pay attention to your kids people! They are your kids! We went for 7 nights all inclusive at the beginning of April. We had a room on the 5th floor with a pool view which the kids loved. The hotels entertainment is terrible. For being a family hotel with a lot of children, the mini disco starts late - 8:30pm - and is only on for half an hour, in which time the kids get to dance to 4 or 5 songs and that’s it. Forget the fact the hotel is overpriced in the first place, they ran bingo on our first night but after that they had 5 nights in a row of a “raffle” which they dragged out to make as much money as possible. The prizes were their cheap “Globales” branded merch which you could buy for €10 at reception. Forget making your holiday enjoyable, they’ll rip you off at every option and then make more money off you doing stupid raffles every night rather than putting on entertainment. The bar on the 1st floor has a member of staff who is extremely ignorant and goes about his day as if he’s hating every second and doesn’t want to be there (I think he was called Juan Carlos). They also have a 2 alcohol drink policy which is slightly stupid as the glasses are small and if you want more you have to rejoin the rest of the queue, there’s no limit on soft drinks though which is good. We always request a safe while on holiday. This hotel wanted €41 for the week + €10 cash deposit which is refused to pay. (My father who was staying 2 days less was quoted €70 + €10 and my grandmother actually paid €61 which is extortion). The kids loved the slides but the “life guards” spend all day playing on their phones and blowing their whistles at anyone who dares do not adhere to their strict rules. Such as not using the steps and getting into the pool by jumping in, that results in a telling off by the jobsworth “life guards” who then go back to their phones. There was always quite a lot of option for the food and all tasted nice, I can’t fault the range of options. I’ve never queued at a hotel for food until I stayed here. There’s hundreds of people going for food and only one tray of chips/fries which was the first tray, so every time there was a long queue. They only turn the coffee & juice machines on for breakfast so if you want a coffee with your dinner forget it, you have to get it upstairs in the bar and my young kids were left with water as the orange juice machine just dispensed water as they tape over the other options after breakfast and there is only fizzy drinks and alcohol available at the restaurant bar. It’s not really the hotels fault but be aware that the path outside of the hotel is pointless. For it being a big hotel the path to and from the hotel from the main road at the bottom is terrible. It is very thin and a pram can’t fit on it safely. You’re constantly on and off the road, risking being ran over. The rooms were cleaned daily, the cleaners done a fab job every day. You can’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel. It’s certainly put me off ever wanting to stop in a Globales branded hotel again.

Nice hotel, very modern, rooms great size and comfortable. most staff friendly, the lady in the snack bar was very pleasant, actually her smile would light up a room. reception girl helpful and friendly, most of the bar staff friendly apart from the few older gents that could be taught some customer service manners. Value for money was great, food choices great there is plenty of choice even for the fussy eaters (me) lots of fresh bread, salad and fruit every day. dining area can become busy at prime times but the helpful man at the front desk of dining area will find you a seat. the hotel is near the beach and lots of bars and shops in the area. the pool area is great lots to do for kids and separate quieter area for adults. snack bar at poolside is great plenty of choice for a wee snack great atmosphere around the pool from the animation team they do keep the kids and adults entertained. the hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff do a great job keeping on top of the poolside toilets.

I arrived earlier this week and am currently still staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I am eager to leave. The hotel itself is very unclean, and I have never encountered such rude staff. In particular, the bartender consistently behaves unprofessionally—placing drinks down abruptly and speaking about guests in Spanish in a disrespectful manner. As one of my family members understands Spanish, we were able to understand what was being said, which was quite upsetting. Another major issue is the drink system. Guests are required to carry a token in order to receive a drink. Each time you order, you must hand over your token, and if you fail to return your empty cup, you lose the token and cannot get another drink. This system feels more like a cost-saving measure for the hotel rather than a service for guests. Despite paying for an all-inclusive stay, guests are expected to manage everything themselves, yet staff still remain unhelpful and unfriendly. The food is also of very poor quality, with very limited options and an unpleasant taste. To make matters worse, I even found a maggot in the bath, which is completely unacceptable. The all-inclusive offering for adults is equally disappointing, as only four cocktails are included, while many others come at an additional cost. Furthermore, the hotel does not accept cash, which is highly inconvenient for guests who have brought euros expecting to use them during their stay. Overall, this has been a very negative experience, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Rooms was a bit small.food was basic and more cold than hot.ate at the snack bar most days.staff were very friendly and front staff good.
