Iberostar Waves Malaga Playa

It is a great hotel! We were with 5 (2 adults and 3 children (15, 14 and 9 years old)) and had 1 big room with enough space. The personnel is very helpful and nice. The swimming pool is big and you can reach the sea within 100 steps.Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. Lots of choices. Then there is the entertainment: we are in love with Fran, the best there is! From the hotel you can reach different nice places: Frigiliana, Nerja and beautiful beaches (we did it by our rental car). Conclusion: we have had a great holiday!

Had a lovely big room on the third floor, room cleaned every day and fresh towels. Comfortable beds with good linen. Large tv, armchair, free safe, lots of hangers, plug sockets near mirror for doing makeup and hair. We had a wet room with nice toiletries, large towels, room quickly dried off. Breakfast was a little chaotic with long queues for omelette and fried eggs. Plenty of choice otherwise for cold and hot food. Dinner was a little more sedate with lots of choices. House red wine was good. Only downfall was food started to be cleared away at 9.15, dinner was supposed to be until 9.30. Plenty of sunbeds round pool and large parasols. Pool towels are available to hire. All the hotel staff are very friendly and hard working. Lots of different nationalities at the hotel which is nice. The hotel is on the beach which is stoney and the sand is a dark colour. Lots of restaurants outside the hotel but unfortunately for us seemed to close after lunch.

We stayed at Iberostar Waves Málaga for four weeks and would like to express our sincere thanks to the management team, especially Carla and Irene, and to their wonderful staff—particularly Maria and Aitor—for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We have visited many resorts over the years, but this location and our experience at Iberostar Waves truly made this long vacation exceptionally relaxing, fun, and memorable. Lovely holiday, hotel is beautiful, food fantastic and apartment spotless. All staff so great. The only issue and really was disappointing, the huge pool which looks so good , it’s absolutely freezing and this is such a shame. So many people don’t want to use it for this reason. The hotel is really busy so it’s not like it’s really quiet, it’s Easter holidays, lots of children here and you just simply can’t enjoy the pool being so cold. Hopefully more people will complain and this may be rectified. Other than this , it’s been such a wonderful hotel to stay.

A nice hotel but could do with the pools being heated out of high season as the water was freezing and children couldn’t enjoy it . Even the indoor pool was cold. Also feel like children should not be allowed in indoor pool without adult supervision because despite signs saying no jumping/diving - groups of children were doing this and ruining the experience for others
