Iberostar Waves Malaga Playa

We had a wonderful holiday at Iberostar Waves Málaga Playa. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed every moment of our stay. It was the perfect place to relax, spend quality time together and create lovely memories. We would happily come back and highly recommend this hotel. ¡Hasta pronto, Málaga! ☀️🇪🇸

Stayed 4 nights in a jr suite. Large spacious room facing the ocean . Rooms cleaned daily / comfy beds . Takes a long time to get hot water in the shower Very clean and well maintained hotel Pools is busy with activities . Plenty of chairs as long as you get up early . We did all inclusive , plenty of drink options . Food is good but can be repetitive . Close proximity to numerous beach clubs and restaurants . Overall good stay , solid 4 star option

Overall a fantastic holiday - classic Iberostar standards that have never let us down. Location - right on the beach, supermarket 3 mins walk. Beach not the nicest but we’re used to white sands / clear water. Hotel - 10/10 stunning building, grounds kept immaculate, staff work so hard. Food - 10/10 never lets us down at Iberostar we use them across Spain and Balearics. Drinks / bar - Great but pool bar staff could do with some training, not Iberostar standard with customer service skills. Room - we had 1 bedroom apartment in block 1 which was perfect for us. Child slept in living room and we had separate bedroom Staff - overall great, especially restaurant staff. Pool - perfect. Only thing was we were not permitted to use floats etc. Activity / entertainment - as always we have said for years Iberostar are really behind with children’s entertainment for being a resort there really is not enough. Simple tasks like arts and crafts, messy play, colouring. Just not enough from young or or old children. Value - you only get what you pay for. Iberostar are a little more £ but the food is so important and it is always 10/10. Noise level - out apartment block was away from main hotel building (just opposite reception) and we had no problem with noise. Overall fantastic holiday would definitely visit again. We are family of 3 from UK.

Really nice hotel. Fabulous food every meal and great snack and ice cream available all day. Staff all very good. Rooms very nice and cleaned very well and kept well. Nephew enjoyed the children’s club a lot. Gym is quite small but lots of good equipment in there. I would have liked it to be open a bit earlier than it was ideally but was still ok. Even if entertainment a good mix of things. Easy access to the beach/sea right across the back promenade. Location was fine some other restaurants etc nearby at the beachfront but definately an area of all inclusive hotels so not loads to do in the immediate vicinity. That said, it’s nice to walk for 5 mins to the bars etc along the beach and also taxis are plentiful if you need them. My only downside to the stay was that I was on the sofa bed and it was rather uncomfortable. A thicker mattress is needed as could really feel the bed frame through the one used.

We had a brilliant trip! All of the staff are so kind, hardworking and enthusiastic, it really feels like they want to be there. The pool was wonderfully big with lots of space to swim despite it being August and busy. The food was varied and delicious. The entertainment was fabulous, non-stop and suited different ages and interests! We went as a family of 9 (young to elderly) and all of our needs were more than met! We loved exploring the local area with beautiful white washed towns a stones throw away and also went on a fabulous boat trip. Unexpectedly a holiday to remember, a lovely week off the grind.
