Blau Punta Reina

Our stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster. Their claim of being on the first line to the beach - It is nowhere near the sea. The service is practically non-existent. The reception staff were incredibly cold and unfriendly from the moment we arrived. To make matters worse, there wasn’t a single bottle of water available anywhere in the entire hotel! If you want to get a beer in the evening, good luck -you have to go sit at a table near the stage and wait forever just for someone to finally show up and take your order. The absolute breaking point happened during the night. A massive fight broke out in the room next to ours. The police were called and were dealing with the chaos until morning, meaning my family didn't get a wink of sleep. The receptionist didn't even react to the situation immediately. To top it all off, the next day, absolutely no one from the hotel management even thought to apologize to us for the ruined night. Save your money and your vacation. Do not stay here.

We were made welcome the minute we arrived, as it was early in the season we were given a lovely upgrade on our rooms. The staff were wonderful. The food and drink menu we couldn't fault and the rooms spotless with beautiful views. The walk down and up from the beach was quite exhausting but the beach and view was lovely. The only minus for us with a 3 year old was there we not enough ramps and quite a lot of steps to manoeuvre in the complex itself, also at the kids splash park there were a few loose and chip slabs On the whole the holiday was great value for money, thank you

The hotel is lovely, and a great setting/views. Animation team are brilliant, cannot fault the team. They work hard and are great entertainment. It was our boys birthday and they all sang happy birthday and got him a little present. Sweetest gesture. The Lion King show was absolutely brilliant, well done! Dennis the customer relations guy is really good and very helpful. All the hotel staff are very good. The pools are cold, but once your in, you get use to it. Always sun beds available, though it did get busier so can’t imagine this place in the height of summer! Negative - water park is height restricted and no where did it say this. We had a very upset boy. Height for slides is 1.2 meters. Sea views are amazing. Food was ok, quite repetitive but there was always plenty of food and we made do with our fussy children. Token for a drink system was a bit of a surprise but we get it, helps keep the place tidy so no plastic cups laying around everywhere. Negative - The photography on site - very expensive and very pushy! Shame… Rooms - one bedroom sea view apartment. 2 singles in bedroom pushed together, and sofa bed in living area. Suitable, and worked for family of four. View was incredible to wake up to every morning! Cleaned daily and fresh towels when required. Beaches walking distance, best beach being Cala anglia which was a little further about 25 min walk along the coastal pathway. Would highly recommend this hotel and would go again. (But not in the height of summer, the place can hold A LOT of people!)

Very nice place Stuff very friendly Recommend for families

I really am not one to complain or leave a bad review, but I do want to warn others that my partner got food poisoning from the breakfast buffet (either from pork sausages or fried eggs - not sure which one). He was really sick with the symptoms you’d expect. It’s a real shame because the hotel is nice and there were some positives but this obviously ruined the holiday for us. On the whole, staff were nice (especially the guest service manager) but at times we felt things weren’t explained very well. Like we weren’t told it was cash only for the 20 euro pool towel deposit. Their ATM was out of service and the guy at reception told me I would have to walk 15 mins down the road to get cash out which I didn’t think was very fair. We booked to use the spa but weren’t told we were booking the kids hour. Communication just felt poor to be honest. There was also a time in the gym where there were children clearly under 16 (they looked about 10) messing around with the equipment and being disrespectful. I told someone in the spa and they basically said it’s not their job to help. The children could have hurt themselves or damaged the equipment, plus the gym is for over 16s only? I never saw a member of staff in the gym and I used it everyday. The rooms were nice and the bar area was lovely. The food poisoning is the reason for the terrible rating.
