One of the Best Family Hotel Stays We’ve Had in Years Our recent stay at the Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa was genuinely one of the most incredible hotel experiences my family and I have had in many years. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that this hotel operates to an exceptionally high standard in every area. First of all, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning, both inside and out. The recent refurbishment has clearly been done with no expense spared. Every part of the property feels modern, luxurious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed. The gardens are especially impressive and maintained to perfection every single day, creating a really relaxing and premium atmosphere throughout the resort. Our room was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. We had a pool view with a partial sea view, which was absolutely perfect. The beds were very comfortable, the room was well laid out, and housekeeping maintained it impeccably throughout our stay. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a bidet and an excellent walk-in rain shower with consistently powerful water pressure and plenty of hot water, something that surprisingly many hotels fail to get right. The food across the resort was outstanding. The buffet restaurants were immaculate and offered an enormous variety of high-quality food every day. There was always something different to try, with themed evenings providing plenty of variety and freshly prepared dishes. What really stood out was the quality and abundance of premium ingredients available throughout the stay. There were fresh fish stations, giant prawns, lobster, beautifully cooked meats, fresh seafood, and an impressive selection of international dishes every evening. Everything was presented exceptionally well and constantly replenished. During the daytime, the barbecue restaurant became one of our favourite spots. The selection of grilled meats, fish, salads, and freshly cooked foods was superb and always fresh and plentiful. We also had the opportunity to dine in three of the themed restaurants during our stay, the Spanish tapas restaurant, the Greek restaurant, and the Mexican restaurant. All three were excellent and felt genuinely authentic rather than gimmicky. The food quality remained consistently high throughout, and each restaurant had its own atmosphere and character. The staff throughout the hotel were incredible. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, hardworking, and clearly took pride in what they do. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Many of the staff were multilingual, which made everything very easy and welcoming for international guests. One touch we absolutely loved was around the pool areas during the day. Staff would regularly walk around carrying huge trays of premium ice creams and lollies for guests to help keep cool in the heat. It is small details like this that really show the level of service and attention the hotel provides. The main bar area was another major highlight for us. It is a large L-shaped bar with plenty of seating and, importantly, plenty of staff, meaning service was always quick despite how busy the hotel was. The all-inclusive drinks package was genuinely impressive because premium branded spirits were included throughout. There were no cheap local substitutes being passed off as branded drinks, which made a huge difference and was a massive positive for our family. The beach directly in front of the hotel is beautiful, with soft golden sand, shallow turquoise water, and ideal conditions for families. It felt very safe and relaxing. The only small point worth mentioning is that the sunbeds on the beach are operated by a third-party company and therefore come with an additional charge, although this is fairly common in many resort areas. Another feature we loved was the sports facilities located at the front of the hotel. As a big fan of padel tennis, I spent every morning playing there, which was fantastic. The facilities are excellent and very easy to book and access. The location of the hotel is also ideal, with simple transport links to nearby areas such as Alcúdia and Can Picafort, making it easy to explore beyond the resort if you want to. The hotel itself is cleverly divided into separate areas for adults and families, which works brilliantly. There are numerous swimming pools spread across different levels of the resort, including rooftop pools on top of the main hotel blocks, all offering different atmospheres depending on what you are looking for. Whether you want lively family entertainment or somewhere quieter to relax, the resort caters perfectly for both. Evening entertainment was exactly what you would expect from a top-quality resort, with plenty of activities and entertainment available each night without ever feeling over the top or intrusive. Honestly, there is absolutely nothing we could fault about this hotel. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations, from the accommodation and food to the staff, facilities, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. We would thoroughly recommend Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa to couples, families, or anyone looking for a genuinely high-quality all-inclusive holiday experience. We will definitely be returning.

This was our second time staying at this hotel, and we will definitely come back again! Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible. The food was amazing — a great variety, always fresh, and delicious every day. Every meal had so many options and everything was very well prepared. The rooms were spotless, and the cleaning service was excellent. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every day, keeping everything perfectly clean and comfortable. What really makes this hotel special is the activities and entertainment team. They create such a fun, lively, and positive atmosphere throughout the day. A special thank you to Adrian, who is truly the mood of the hotel. His energy, humor, and ability to make everyone feel included make the whole experience even more enjoyable. Also a big thank you to Nikol, Ismail, the amazing Zumba trainers, and the rest of the fantastic team. They work incredibly hard to organize great activities and entertainment for everyone. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and this is exactly why we came back — and why we will definitely return again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just returned from a 6 night break and mainly - everything was positive. We booked a premium sharing pool room - in the hope that we’d be able to use this a lot and the sun loungers outside the room frequently. Unfortunately - this turned out to not be the case. We weren’t told upon checking in that there was construction work taking place directly in front of these rooms - we arrived early on a Sunday night and didn’t find this out until Monday morning - when the work restarted and continued all week, with differing continuous noise levels. Whilst I understand that work does have to take place - it would have been better to have been informed upon checking in and given the option to move if needed. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and kept this way by a great housekeeping service all week - it’s also a nice touch to be able to see on the App when your room has been cleaned. They were however lacking in plug points & some plug points in our room didn’t work at all. We also had an issue with the wardrobe door - although this was promptly sorted ( to an extent ) when we brought it to the notice of reception. On to the food - They have 3 A La Carte restaurants which have to be booked beforehand. These are Greek, Mexican and Spanish . We managed to book 2/3 on the app on the night of arrival - and much preferred these to the buffet restaurant which was offered as an alternative. Buffet restaurant open for breakfast/lunch/dinner - Crazy busy but the staff work ridiculously hard to keep the tables cleared and drinks served. There was always a good selection of food available. There’s a cafe in the lobby that is open 24/7 - that has snacks & coffee etc - which was actually really nice. No need to take beach towels - these are supplied and you can change them every day for clean ones. There’s a bar which operates throughout the day - Offering a good range of drinks. They’ll also have crisps, nuts, ice cream etc available as snack. Special mention has to go to one of the bar waiting staff - who was cornered by the entertainment team during the 80’s night. With nowhere to hide - he had to dance with him and did such a good job - whilst carrying and not dropping , a tray of empty glasses. Loads of sunloungers, spotless pool areas. I would mention though that if you like to see ‘outside’ of the hotel - you’ll need to walk or be prepared to catch a bus - which we did to go to Alcúdia old town, Alcudia port and Can Picafort. It’s very easy . We had a lovely few days and I would recommend. It was just a shame about the noise

Just returned from a week stay here in a star prestige room overlooking the main restaurant area, in terms of the view from the balcony you could position yourself to look out onto the sea in the direction distance over the trees. The all inclusive was good value with a good range of offerings at lunch and dinner. The star prestige rooftop bar was peaceful offering a great view. Would recommend for anyone travelling without children. At check in Adrian welcomed me with a glass of cava and gave an overview of the hotel which shares facilities with the Albufera Park. Christina, a guest services manager, came over during this to welcome me to the hotel which was a nice touch. All of the staff I encountered were fantastic but I’d particularly call out Kik and Ana at dinner, Nuria, and Ivan at the SP rooftop bar.

Booked this trip as a last minute (booked on Fri and arrived on Mon) and we could not of been more impressed with our stay, from start to finish we couldn't fault it! Sometimes I am hesitant to book new places as you see all the negative reviews, but some of the reviews on this hotel are just bonkers/fussy, don't listen just book it! I don't usually leave reviews but this really does deserve one, and hope it helps others book in the future with piece of mind. For a couple in our early 30's, we love a nice relaxed day, lovely food, few drinks in the evening with some entertainment, and a good atmosphere (and an early ish night!) This is exactly what you get here. Food: Absolutely amazing, every meal time. Even fussy eaters wouldn't struggle to find anything to eat. Its fresh, full of flavour, great variety everyday with always something different from the day before, which is great! Greek, Mexican and Spanish restaurants on site which you can use once during the stay, these were so so nice. Décor and atmosphere lovely and food great too, nice change sometimes from buffet even though we never got bored of that. Drinks: Amazing selection of drinks, cocktails, sprits etc, and none of the cheap stuff, all good quality named brands. (nothing worse than cheap spirits that taste like bleach!) Nice inside bar area, and outside entertainment area and TVs for sport. Entertainment was actually very good, typical cheesy stuff but was good to watch, singers, dancers, magic shows! Location: Walking distance to a few shops restaurants, if you did want to venture out, but everything you need is at the resort really. We did find a nice walking trail opposite the hotel which is a nature reserve and was a lovely walk each morning after breakfast! Hour from airport and short trip to towns etc by buses/taxis, but we didn't go out. Rooms: Good size for two of us, clean, minor wear and tear but completely expected as this hotel is always busy! Air con wasn't the best, strange smells when we used, we didn't need it though as it was April so wasn't too hot at night. Shampoo, conditioner, shower wash, cream all provided in the bathroom too. Facilities: All the pools were a great size, (bit chilly as it was April) and not too busy, could always find a sunbed. Towels provided which is also great you don't need to bring them. Drink stations are all around the hotel so helping yourself is great rather than queuing. And snacks always available at the bars, crisps nuts, cookies. Small café in the lobby also had snacks in case you missed a meal, or just extra hungry and needed more food, we didn't use it as the restaurant food was absolutely great and we left full every meal! Gym was nice, small but it is a hotel gym so its expected, used it a few times and enjoyed it just to keep active! Used the paddle court at the front of the hotel which was great too. Park, paddle, basketball, table tennis, bikes to rent too, really good to keep busy. Also everything was clean. Staff always cleaning the public areas, and friendly too, every staff member we came across makes the effort to say hello or smile, it was so welcoming Everything was honestly the best we could of expected, will be returning next year 100%!
