THB Gran Playa

Great location, charming, modern hotel, clean rooms, very comfy bed. A great selection of buffet food, loads options to choose from plus freshly cooked steaks, veal steak was exceptional, compliments to the best & funniest chef ever🤗 All staff were really friendly & welcoming which made my stay very special. I want to personally thank Maria Jose at the reception for being so kind, knowledgeable and helpful & also restaurant team for surprising me on my birthday 🎂 🙏 Muchas gracias THB Gran Playa team you were all awesome 🙌🥳 💕

Sat waiting in the airport for our flight home so thought I would write my review of THB Gran Playa……Fantastic!….From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Gabriel on reception, a great guy who couldn’t do enough for us, very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is beautiful, fresh modern and very clean. Buffet breakfast has plenty of choice. Rooms were lovely and clean with towels changed every day. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The pool was great with towels provided. Close to lots of amenities, the beach, restaurants, bars and shops are only a short distance away. For those liking fast food Burger King is only a five minute walk away. The hotel has entertainment a few nights a week for those wishing to sit back with a drink or two! All in all we have had a great holiday, and thinking of returning next year. We don’t usually return to the same place twice as like to visit new places all the time, but wouldn’t hesitate to come back to THB Gran Playa. Must mention Gabriel again, a fantastic guy, a great member of staff. Gran Playa you are very lucky to have him, he deserves a pay rise!

Firstly the good bits. Arrived at 10am, rooms are not ready until 2pm, I was aware of this and packed my case accordingly, luggage was safely stored, token given for a towel and use of all facilities. The pool area is small and not a lot of room to manoeuvre around the pool for individuals with mobility issues. Albeit if going in the pool there is a slope and grab rail. Pool was a lovely temperature, kept very clean as were the sun loungers. Food was good and plentiful, one gripe for evening meal, all drinks including water had to be paid for, breakfast drinks are included. Rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels daily, staff completing this role are excellent and always have a smile on their face. Less good bits, the hotel is situated between roads where you have constant traffic noise whilst chilling around the pool. Albeit the entertainment, shops, restaurants are just outside the door, if you’re looking for peaceful this isn’t the place to be. I have never encountered such rude German people. They clicked their fingers and called out loudly to restaurant staff for service, which was totally uncalled for as the staff were exceptional in the restaurant. The german people were also rude and had no consideration for others when they were around the pool. Unfortunately I will not stay here again, but go to the Canary Islands where the people are lovely.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 week in august, the hotel is close to the beach which was a big pluss for me, good shops and restaurants around, walking distance to a big supermarket (Aldi) and to the bus atation towards Port Alcudia and Palma The staff at the hotel was friendly and smilling, especially Jose and Miguel in the restaurant and the guy in the reception ( from Brasil) but the girl with black glasses in the restaurant was very unfriendly and arrogant, never smilling. The food buffet was good, alot of choices during my week, the chef Jose was very friendly and professional at the grill. The cleaning could be better for a 4 star hotel, I found some hairs here and there The room was ok but the walls very thin, I could hear the tv from my neighbour every morning at 7am.. Otherwise I did enjoyed my stay and I could recommend the hotel!

Great hotel, went in August which usually I thought would be jam packed and busy, however this hotel was nice and calm. Pool area always clean and sunbeds always available no matter the time of arrival. Right next to the beach where I must say can picafort way more relaxed in comparison to alcudia. Staff very friendly, bar staff extremely efficient also and pleasant. Food truck also fairly priced with decent food with big portions that can be split between 2. The only negative in my entire 10 day stay however, was a spiteful pancake chef. Idk if he had a vendetta against me or in general he’s just rude and miserable. 3 occasions I wanted to get pancakes in the middle of breakfast service, this being no later then 9:30 the latest even and usually was even earlier. When breakfast is finished at 10:30. I asked for pancakes and this man everytime told me no more pancakes. Just make more pancake batter man :( other that that perfect stay will definitely come back hopefully pancake man is gone.
